I have heard L2P said at least once here.
I am not a PvPer, yet I find it somewhat fun (win or lose).
I am not about to change my concept build, but that doesnt mean a tip or 2 wouldnt hurt.
So why doesnt somebody who says "L2P" actually post a PvP L2P Guide.
After all I might end up on your team and you might not want me to be that squishy dude.

Perhaps just some basics.
And avoid the talking down syndrome or the "you must take this power or that power" stuff.
Just some general PvP Better Play Tips might be nice.
I can see some tips on things to bring with you, but I am certainly not going to Respec into TP just because its good.

Looking forward to the Guide.

now hit that button over and over.

congratz, you have L2P just as l33t as all the players who come in here saying L2P and thinking they have some mad skills that the rest of us are incapable of.

1. Focus fire. Even people that are super special in their own way realize what this means and what it does. If you dont know what this means or does...dont log on.

2. Stay grouped. Its the idiot that goes all gung ho solo bolo rambo **** that dies.

3. Target Priorities. If there is a blocker.....ignore him unless you have the disable block abilities. If there is someone with PFF and tons of shields...ignore them. ex. I have 4 shields I can and have taken on 4 people at once and won (yes, even after the pff nerf). I am not a good target cuz i take too long to wear down. Best thing to do to me is to CC and leave me be.

But this is the only thing I'm good at! I'm playing Champions so I can be a lone-wolf renegade type...

-QFT

Fat kids just spamming knockback is what its all about... it's not skill, this is not WOW or a FPS, just hit the buttons and combine that with focus fire and you have COMPLETELY summed up COs pvp.

Just do what is in the quote and you will increase your PVP game by 500% the first pvp you enter.

Obviously you can tweak your game a little, know who to shoot and when... but, it really does not have the same effect that it does in WOW... everybody in this game is semi equal because of the generic stat system... so just knock people down.

I guess you couldnt be bothered to read my whole thread like the part where I mention a lot of guys on your PvP team are NOT changing there Build for PVP.

Yet they are still willing to become better PVPers if you give them less whinny advice.

good post.

I noticed someone mentioned someting about Reconing the enemy first looking at there HP to determine who to beat down.

Also in ideas on how to regroup after the squishy goes down.

Obviously the squishy will go down again and again....but if he just rushes right back in through the TP without teams to be there isnt he just going to get 4-on-1 ganked again. Lets say I am that low HP squishy guy without TP and Great defense what should my role be? Spam SHIFT?....Buy some Consumables Heals? Run towards my buddies? Stay in the back of my buddies?

Should my teammates let me know when I am the squishy before the fight starts?

Should all my teamates know who the squishys are before the fight starts?

Learn what wins over what power.

For example (and I tested it myself using a acrobat/might/few other powers)
Teleporters, dots still tick on them when they teleport, roots still work even if they are invisible, rooted teleporters can still be hit by cone/aoe attacks.

Learn how people play (or 90% of the people atleast), meaning what do they do and when.
Another example: A TP guy usually TPs when low on health, so when you get them down to 50% (depending on how fast you get them down) it's a good time to start rooting, doting and finish them off with aoe/cone attacks.

How to stay alive? Learn what you can take and what kills you, stay away from what kills you ;)

Make sure you have some "special" stuff equiped, primary off/def/util. L2P?

I was in stronghold PvP and we were having a rough time taking out the final boss, the opposing team was doing a great job at defense.

I play a might class and decided to break from the boss and focus on the enemy team instead. I did not do anything but block, what I did manage to do is distract several of them into attacking me while leaving the rest of my group to finish off the boss unhindered.

I find that when a team does use focus fire it works quite well, but it has its weaknesses, and I try to exploit them when I can. My AoE damage is not something you can ignore, your choice is to stop the focus fire and go on defensive, or split the team up and causing it to be a bit weaker.

I may be more of a solo PvP'r but in reality I do it for the team. I can hold out for a very long time with my shift button on, long enough for my team mates to switch to offensive mode and push the people back.

On the other hand, there is a slight imbalance in Stronghold regarding the NPC heroes esp on the prisoner side, its doable, but prisoner side wins more often.

Or if someone is smart enough to drop them on you while you are stunned, rooted or the victim of any other type of power that prevents you from moving.
