Stronghold match XP

Has anyone every figured out which of the points are the reasons for such large variations in the xp that's awarded there? It tended to vary between 30k and 135k for me and i;ve heard some say they had as high as 160k, but some matches the scores would look very similar but the variation in reward at the end would be huge. I never really paid that much attention before, but now trying to figure out how to maximise the Acclaim rewards for it and XP for future alts.

Any insights would be appreciated.

I don't even know how it determines credit for kill. It isn't via tagging, but nor is it doing a portion of the damage. Sometimes it is. I've gotten credit for kills while standing alone doing nothing to anyone, and oh look I apparently just kill 2 NPC even though I've never attack one; good for me. When XP comes from actual kills you realize if you do want it a lot of what you can do is wasted if you cannot finish the job. No point attacking that tank or the guy you learn after the match that's 8 levels above you.
