I believe it is a rule that accounts cannot be sold, correct me if i'm wrong. You'd have to contact account and billing support if you wanted a refund, doubt you'd get one though.

Is it against the rules? Because there are some lifetime subs on ebay, and I'm considering it. But not if Cryptic would only close down the account.

Do you have 2-way satellite or 1-way? There may be some options for you to fix this problem.

Or see if there is a WISP provider in your area. Cell-phone broadband connection also has acceptable latency.
I know your pain... Only Internet available in my area is: WISP, Satellite, Cell-phone broadband, and dialup. You cannot share cell-phone broadband (need a 'modem' and subscription per computer), though with the mini hotspot from Sprint you can sort of.
I use WISP and its acceptable for the most part. (I pay for 1024k down/ 768k up, I get about 900k-1544k down and 400k-600k up).

You would be suprised at what you can find living out in the sticks. If you get cell phone reception then theres a really good chance you could get cell phone based broadband.

Checked for the wireless broadband....no dice. Even too far out for that. Ah well....maybe the game will keep going long enough for it to get out this way. If not lesson well learned (and expensive).
