I dig it.

Like, other than a few problems, (condemn, shotgun, taser arrow, chill lasting too long) which don't bother me much and have a fixes comming soon, it works fine.

As far as I can tell, pvp from 10-20-30 and then 40, gets better and better, in the fact that your character can start to handle all situations. There's no reason to believe your character should be able to live and kill in all situation vs any power sets. Some power sets, custom or not, take longer to develop and be "ready" for pvp.

Teleport Spam, and Block Spam, should both be non-existent threats at level 40 pvp, as EVERYONE pvping would and should have teleport due to the 2nd travel power, and everyone should have also ranked up the 3 point challenging strikes for the anti/block taunt on an attack.

pvp is fun and i wish all the kiddies would stop crying about being killed and screaming for nerfs.

can't wait to get lvl 40 and try some pvp , bet can make some nice builds.

I'm fed up with all the hater posts out there that want everything Nerfed to make up for their suck, it's good to see that otheres are enjoying PvP too :D

yeah i enjoy the pvp, but when you get quitters half way through....that gets annoying!! :mad:

yeah... just about everyone post 35 has teleport. Though im not sure how you see teleport spam being reduced when more people have it.

The way I see it is while I'm PvPing at level 40. (Currently level 39). Teleporters generally start to highly misjudge the potential damage people can now dish out when they enter that field. My character can drop conflagration down on a group of people for easily 600-1200 damage depending on their defensive passives. At that level of damage, teleport is nearly a suicide mission as you have to stop blocking in order to even attempt to get away. I've seen literally hundreds of players teleport, only to get hit full force with a single tick from me and die right there on the spot.

So I've seen more people block and retreat slowly rather than teleport the moment they're hit points reach a certain level.

The OP is very correct. As your levels get up and you enter some of the higher tiered arenas, you will begin to see players who can counter each other very well. You'll start to see a much heavier emphasis on Crippling Challenge and more support being brought out into the field. The dynamics of battle no longer becomes who can out-last the other, but which team can really bring it their all and come out on top. Even I took a heal other for support because I knew in order to be viable in level 40 PvP. I need to make sure my team is at their peak.

It's quite a lot of fun actually.

PVP is fun when not chain held/knocked back. If they can fix the CC problems there is hope.

I feel overall they've gotten PvP right in this game. It's a lot more fun that I figured it would be, and I play a primarily melee class. If they fix this stuff (most you've mentioned already), I think it's pretty much set.

-Being able to Perma-Block (Although Crippling Challenge takes care of that, so)
-Knockback Resistance (Should not be able to spam Force Blast/Shotgun and heard someone around the map. I have Super Strength and I routinely get chain KB'd to the point of ridiculousness)
-Hold Resistance (Condemn, Stun Arrow. Enough said in my opinion)
-Teleport (Primarily not be able to chain TP if you were previously engaging in combat, and being able to TP while you're Held. I think there should be more of a charge up for TP akin to Tunneling)

Other than that, I don't really have a problem with the damage people put out or anything. I feel like I can put the hurt on people pretty good, also.

For the most part the last tier is much more fun than the others, it actually feels like a fight rather than ganking. They do need to do something about CC though, we can all admit that but the problem is that cryptics heavy hand will more than likely go too far with whatever change they decide to implement. In a weeks time the complaints we see on these forums will be the opposite of what they are now .. "CC is worthless, why did yuo break my CC!".

I'm actually pretty surprised that the game is balanced as well as it is, given the amount of stuff the devs have to juggle to pull it off. PvP in WoW was much worse at release.

That said, there are currently two systemic issues: scoring encourages people to focus on their kill count, to the exclusion of other more interesting objectives, and - here's a killer - support is not rewarded at all. That last issue is just inexplicable. Fixing the scoring should be done in a way that also rewards support.

IMO CC has no place in PvP without diminishing returns and resistances that actually work. NOBODY likes being CCed. I would rather them give us an immense damage buff in the arenas so it only takes 5 or 6 good hits to kill somebody than have to CC them for 1 minute to kill them.

trying to mess with teleport is a bad idea . making it charge would be a pain in the butt for pve when your trying to move around.the only viable fix i can see for tp is a cool down of no more then 15 seconds. I mean other travel powers start off slow but once they get going you cant catch them. teleport is good for retreating but i cant tell you the number of times i have tried to chase down someone with super speed or flight and i shoot once and my teleport is on cool down again and there miles away. As far as the knockdown thing . shotgun should have its knock back chance lowered maybe 10% or so . other then that its fine cause some ppl just block forever only way to get them to stop is to knock them down . I hope they don't implement cc immunity timers thats just so fail . if you have 4 guys on you regardless your gonna die even if your on the floor or your running away.

Ugh, yes! I don't even do pickup groups in PVP anymore because of the people who quit the match after one die and then leave the rest of the team to get farmed while the spot is getting filled.

We're superheroes, folks...since when did superheroes quit so easily?
