On a day-to-day basis, no one at Cryptic interacts more with the players than the Customer Support team. These mysterious "Game Masters" are here to provide non-stop service to players who require it. From answering support tickets, to stepping in-game to assist your character, the GM team is here to help. We thought it'd be nice to give you an inside look into what the GM's do each day. Enjoy!

Don't wanna sound like a genuine douchebag now, but this is written as if the game hasn't been released yet. It's not beta, because if it was, I wouldn't be as annoyed with the lag issues I'm having, since I wouldn't have paid to play a beta. I like the game alot... but it's almost unplayable.
So, yeah, I hope it's being worked on. I'll wait until the community can confirm stability before renewing my sub, so you've got at least 20 days to fix it ;)

I really enjoyed reading this, as it cements the relationship between the administration/GMs and the players, and actually gives us some official insight on what is going on behind the scenes.

The ticket system is quite good and I have used it multiple times.

Noel “GM Destra” Holmes said " the crazy thing is that the player base has been so nice and friendly that we haven’t really had to do much."

Do you read the Forums?

friendly my arse id say, and i do expect to be flamed for having an opinion.

Forums are a very small part of the player base.

Hello there!

I have a question!

Do you have cool hooded robes?

Oh, and will we see you hanging out in Millennium City from time to time?

Hmm... ok, that's two questions...

Of the three of you; Jim, Markus and Noel, which one of you would win in an "Escape from New York spiked club and trash can lid shield" death match?

Noel Holmes = Deadpool

Markus Kraus = Colossus

Jim Garner = Green Lantern

If and when a bug is submitted, and found not to be working as intended.

Where can players look to see what the time table is on the fix.

All that is great and all, but they completely dodged the MAJOR issue of FPS rates and lag. Don't be like everyone else, Cryptic...tell us what is going on.

Um no they didn't they are working on that too, they have a team of people that work on different aspects, you cannot expect them to have the entire dev team working on just one issue, that would not work out so well in the end.

I wonder if it makes me demented or just unright in the head if I want to join these guys on the GM team.

I have been impressed with the tickets I have sent so far. The two times I've been kind of stuck for what to do about an issue I have gotten specific advice on what to do. I haven't tried the second set of advice yet [just got my answer and havent' been on that character] but it seems good and specific enough that anyone could follow it. Way to go GM's. :D:D:D

Tho I enjoy insider looks into the industry this read a little bit too much like an elaborate Cryptic add.
Great if it's true, ofcourse, but it felt like they where about ready to group hug...

Not that I have anything against Cryptic, mind. I'm perfectly happy with CO currently, despite the problems.

Why is everyone ingame so nice to each other? Cos we all have 1 common enemy, Cryptic. Nice propoganda but I dont believe a single bit of it.

I am betting on Markus, he looks like he has +10 to Spiked Club skill

As we have only been launched a week, you can imagine that the interview was done prior to launch. So yes, this was written based on an interview during beta.

I've been looking for an answer on this, might as well ask here:

On the issue of not being able to view weapons skins in the tailor/char generator, is this really being labeled WAI? I heard a bad rumor.

Nice to meet you guys.

The best time in any new relationship is the 'getting to know you' phase.

You know the one - the phase where everything is new, fresh, and exciting. The time before you realize that wonderful new woman you met a week ago trims her toenails with her teeth.

It's a magical time.

That said, a few questions:

1) Do you consider a 'fancy date' to be taking them to Red Lobster? If so, why?

2) Are you guys enjoying the game you've come to work for?

3) "When my fine, upstanding superiors at Cryptic are not watching, I like to _____________."

4) What is the most fascinating or absurd ticket you've received thus far?

5) Do you promise to never.. NEVER.. begin an in-game chat session with "As you gaze up to the sky, the clouds part, heralding the coming of (insert GM name here)..."

6) Chimichangas are an important part of people's lives everywhere. What are your thoughts on this fried slice of heaven?

These questions, unlike the many that are repeated constantly in the forums about the game itself, are critically important. Please spare a moment to answer any of them, so we can...

Get to Know You!™

I have read a developer say that it is WAI but that they are working on a feature to enable you to see the weapons in the tailor-mode. Hang in there. It will come :)

I feel so lucky and honored to have a ticket in queue to be worked on hopefully solved and closed by an amazing team lead by this amazing ... leaders. In other words: Why not help your minions work on tickets still needing help before giving interviews? Eeek.

Oh, I just read this was already mentioned earlier. Well, fantastic timing to publish this then. ;-)

Can't wait to hear back from you guys in the ticket tho.

I agree. Those few harassment complaints per day must be from me, because I'm having the worst time in my MMO history with this community. Maybe it's just me, LOL!

Loved the post though, thanks :)

1. No, a "Fancy Date" involves a restaurant that has menus bound in leather and the words "first course" are listed on one of the pages inside.

2. Very much so!

3. have light-saber duals with one of the other Leads using the Force FX lightsabers sitting on my desk (yes, I have two of them)

4. I got "The best time in any new relationship is the 'getting to know you' phase." post. Does that count?

5. Yes, for the love of Defender yes!

6. mmmmmmmmmm fried chimichangas

Might be because your question is more Dev related and not "meet the GM Lead" related... However, I would not count out the Chimichanga factor!

For the record, I do love chimichangas. Especially with guacamole.

Hope I didn't sound too sullen. I guess I thought you would have dealt with bug reports on this issue and therefore would know the official response. I guess I might be confusing support tickets with bug reports.

Anyway, hi there. :)
