View Full Version : Cannot Connect to Account Server

A friend of mine is having several issues.

When logging into the game via the Game Client, he's stuck at Connecting to the Account Server.

When using the launcher, the patch bar doesn't load and the message underneath reads: "No shards Found: You have a ticket with 1 permission pairs, but no shards were found."

Also, he cannot post on the game forum (hence my doing this posting).

Any suggestions on how to correct these issues would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

EDIT FOR CLARIFICATION: His account is activated, and he was playing for several days before this issue arose (it started yesterday).

I had the same problem, it turns out that you have to enter a credit card information along with your 30 days of gameplay with purchase. Once he does that then he should be set as long as he doesn't run into one of the numerous possible problems with the launcher.

Sorry, I should clarify; he has activated his subscription, and was playing for several days before this issue arose (it started yesterday). So the above can't be the problem. Thank you for your suggestion though.

You must tie a Retail CD Key to your account in addition to the subscription. The grace period has ended, its now a requirement.

I had the same problem, reentering my retail key fixed it for me. Didn't need to reenter anything else - ie didn't need to update payment info.
