Hey guys, lets get all the weapon replacer pics and the information on what is needed to unlock specific weapons together. I figure if we just all choose a different weapon to focus on we could get together a wealth of information for everyone to reference until the Devs set up the weapons to be shown in the tailor.

I've been doing Single/Dual Blades and this is what I have:

Color code is: BLACK -> WHITE -> RED -> BLUE

Each weapon is colored that way to help determine which color slot affects what area of the weapon.

Yes, you can.

I gathered up as many weapon replacer items as I could with the "Unlocks Costume Piece" tag, and equipped them to get access to the piece.

Each weapon shown above can be colored as long as you access them in the tailor. I colored them Black(Color Box 1), White(Color Box 2), Red(Color Box 3), and Blue(Color Box 4) so you know which color slot pertains to which area on the weapon. This is to take the guess work out of it so you don't have to hop into the tailor 5-6 times to finally get the color of the weapons right.

I'll be branching out into other weapon categories if no one starts working on them. After that I'll also begin documenting what weapon replacer item unlocks which specific tailor weapon.

Its a real shame so many of the melee weapons look so absolutely horrible :( Thanks for the pics, now I can stop trying them to see what they look like. I'll stick with the default.

I still think they need to seriously work on making some of these available at character creation.

It's really annoying to make a swashbuckling pirate and fight with a katana until you find a cutlass.

Got my cudgels from the Dual Blades unlock "Sharktooth Clubs". You can get that from the Toxic Takedown mish in Canada.

Currently, you can't (weird, right?) That's why they're adding the option in the next patch (which is on the PTR)

But right now, if you immediately go to the tailor, you'll see the default additional options. And I use the term "see" loosely, you can see the descriptions, they don't get added to the model (next on my wishlist!)

You can get katars from the start of the game..Just pick fight claws and go to tailor..

The SMG pistol's my favorite (probably 'cause I own one...and they are FUN). I just don't like how the character's left hand is sticking out in front.

The Alien axes are sexy. But I don't see how they fit in with any of the current classes in the game.. Ought to make an axe class :D And possibly a Blunt weapons.. I don't know, just throwing it out there.

I kinda figured there would be some kind of unlock for ego blades, since i'm pretty sure some of the PSI npc's have different looking ones. Though i havent played one since beta, and barely touched it, so maybe they are the same as the default ones. Matter of fact, i think i'll go make someone right now and check =P

Ugh... I need to make a shopping list with all the weapons I want.
Giant axes for my Dual Blades... Gatling for my Munitions... You people are not making it easy.

It kills me that you got to wait for these customization options. No crazed dual axe wielding lumberjack before level-whatever :(

And it's really vile and twisted to not make the unlocks global for your account. It'll just lead to extra work as you twink your alts by trading them unlock items, but then again there's some quirky design in CO like having to accept an invitation you yourself sent to another player. Maybe the redundancy-finding-guy was out that day.

CoX was were I first learned the term "Quality of life improvement" so I hope to see patches like that here too.

Would love some Power Armor info please. I'm heading into Arms and the Canada trainer only has 1 unlock for PA so I got a feeling I made a bad choice. Would like to see if Science has others for them.

There is one or two War hammer's. They may not be exactly what you are looking for but they do exist. One of the War hammer's should be on page 5? or maybe it was 4.

I can make an item called "Rhythm Sticks" but I have a feeling it uses the club/cudgel model -- the effect is "Electro Cudgels Enhancment." I don't have a dual blade user so I can't take any screens though. I can make and mail them to you though. What's your name in-game?

About all I can add is that there is a bow power replacer that adds psionic damage... the effect is a pink glow eminating from the eyes. Power armor has a replacer... actually, perhaps replacer isn't the right word, as they do not offer costume pieces. Enhancement, maybe? Anyway, the power armor one that adds periodic fire damage adds flames to your joints (knees and elbows) when in use. Rather odd looking.

Perhaps I missed it... is there a command to draw a weapon out-of-combat?

Do you mean in this thread since they should be on page 5. However if you meant in game just keep doing all the quests you can find you will get them eventually. I have all the ones listed here and i haven't bought a single melee power replacer since i don't use melee attacks.

Great thead, OP. Thanks to everyone who contributed. Some of the melee weapons need some work - the models are downright clunky. I know this is supposed to emulate a comic-art style but some of the handles on those melee weapons are just way too thick.

this is why i've stuck with my katanas for now. hopefully in the future we can also scale weapons and PREVIEW them in the character builder.

Is it possible for anyone to give a list of the easiest replacers to get hold of that are western themed?
That would be for pistols, shotgun, rifle.

Science has a blunderbus power replacer which makes a great shotgun model for this and is available at level 5.

Personally I've not seen any western pistol models, unless you count the modern revolver option #5 default. I use Flintlock pistols (which I freak'n love) and once the server comes back up I'll try to get a screen to post here for you guys, I dont' think I've seen another player using them yet!

It is a blueprint for ARMS>Ordinance. At 30 skill lvl you can craft them. :) It was the very first thing I did with my character as soon as i was able.

Skill level 30, as in 30 points in the arms skill mate. You can use them at level 10 if I recall. I Used them in open beta but they don't fit any of my current characters concepts.

I figured it was a drop as I have a char with each of the crafting skills, 2 of which are close to 300 and one is over 300 and none of the schematics I have seen hint at anything western aside from the flintlock & blunderbuss.

The longer you keep your user base busy and the longer they don't realize they're being kept busy, the more your profit maintains itself on a steady basis. It's the standard idea behind any MMO out there. You give your users enought o stay busy until your next batch of "cookies" is ready, then you give them the next set. The more complex you make it the longer you can hold over on projects that may run past their alloted time.

The moment your user base realize they are being manipulated, you then begin damage control, but thats a whole other idea :P

I understand WHY they made it a grueling task and time consuming, but I don't like having to do it either. I realize my money went to show that there's a following for this game and operating costs, not implementing new designs. I realize my input in the end, doesn't matter, for I realize that my opinion is just that, my own. The only thing the dev team can base things on are hard numbers if I understand dev teams properly :)

But I'd also appreciate it if the unlocks were account wide. I understand the reasoning why COX did it and why these fellows do it. But I'd still like it. :)

Totally. The fact that for all the touted customization options, you're still restricted from using this stuff from the start really burns me.

Worse, is that all the power replacer costume unlocks you can craft have set levels. Which means even if you have an Alt who can craft the blueprint, there's no way for your lowbie to make use of it until they hit level X and are able to equip it.

Some do, they will say Unlocks Costume Piece between the Skill and slot.

Note that you need to equip the Power Replacer to unlock the costume piece.

Changing the weapon look doesn't change the firing effect. I was fiddling with costumes before I figured out that additionals had to be unlocked.

You can use them yourself and see if they unlock something. You can even check out which costume piece it is at the tailor, the Box tab holds all your unlocked pieces.

Totally. The fact that for all the touted customization options, you're still restricted from using this stuff from the start really burns me.

Worse, is that all the power replacer costume unlocks you can craft have set levels. Which means even if you have an Alt who can craft the blueprint, there's no way for your lowbie to make use of it until they hit level X and are able to equip it.

Thing is this. The game has FAR MORE customization than any other MMO I have played at launch and thats a lot of games. Also even with these being gained at later levels some MMO reviews have noted that the amount of customization at the early levels is so high that they wondered if that would hurt people from grinding and paying each month. As much as everyone says they hate to grind, its actually that aspect of MMO's that keep people paying money every month. A number of studies were done on this when EQ first came out and the whole "people getting divorced" over MMO's started so psychologists and sociologists actually did studies on the psychology behind what makes MMO's so successful/addictive.

If you expected to be able to log into a game and be able to get the look that a lvl 40 can get at lvl 10 an MMO is NOT the game for you. The lvl 40 dude (or dudet) is not going to grind his way to 40 just to get more power, he's going to want to look different. Just be glad right out of the gate they didn't institute a Vet Reward system thats been pretty successful in other games, else you would be sitting there going "well in 4 months I can get that". You can now you just need to put in some time, for them time is money after all.

Cradle of Contagion - Sickle
Evocarti's Fire Blades - Gladius (low level Canada mission)
Cudgel of Conflagration - Cudgel
Bolt Blade & Plague Blade - Alien Organic Sword
Frost Fist & Death Whisper (level 35 MI/Canada mission), Coldheart (level 13 Desert) - Alien Organic Axe
Bulawas of the Bonfire - Morning Star
Contaigon Cleaver - Fantasy Axe 1
Venom Hewer - Fantasy Axe 2
Frostburn - Fantasy Axe 3
Rattler - Fantasy Sword 3

Note that sword unlocks are for both Single and Dual Blades.

Agreed. This thread is kind of useless until someone stops using Photobucket. :( After a day any post using PB tends to get rendered void. Then again, a LOT of people were accessing the pics in desperation.

Also, both Wikis suck. Neither has been able to help me with ANY information. I would assume most of us are too busy playing to edit them. :3 Regardless, this information should get put up there sometime. Is anyone planning on making a concerted effort to get the data onto one of the Wikis? The only reason I haven't bothered is that, there being two, I don't know which to attempt to help with. :/ I understand why two people would both try to get started as the official Champions wiki, but both are pretty sorely lacking right now.

Scratch all that. Cryptic just needs to build in the functionality to see our weapons ASAP. I actually spent 20N yesterday just trying to get my swords right because I was impatient, though I take full responsibility for that.

Yes rare, and I want one. Yes, there is a bank in MC. In the main area around the PH, there is a building with some pillars on front--that's the bank. I think it's on the south side.

I haven't gotten it cause it's a really rare drop, but people in my SG have gotten it from prisoners at both prisons, off of VIPER and even Maniacs. But to demonstrate how rare, one person farmed prisoners, got the 5000 kill perk and the pistols didn't drop.

The monster island crisis can be played any time. Click on the totem on the beach near the village to the north of the millennium city jet.

The 'qularr crisis' is tutorial, so make a new character is your only option. Same with Desert and Canada Crisis.
