Wish Entry #28
A man has nothing, but he wishes for more. A beggar, sitting on his corner, only wanted what would get him through the week. People scowled and growled at him as he reached out his hands for loose coins. When I approached this man, he said 'I wish I people would give me money.' The next day, the whole town came and dropped off every coin they had to this beggar. The man got his wish, and now wishes no more.
The long, dark path. 1.
Our 'Hero' made a wish.
Centuries ago, people told stories of a mountain in the middle of the ocean, and an infinite power was locked beneath it. But the power would not stay locked forever, and one day the mountain split. Within that split was a temple, a temple that would take anyone to that infinite power.
People have found this island. The wise souls merely ignored it, while the truly foolhardy have delved into it, searching for the power feeding the stories. What the stories don't mention is what lies deep within the temple. The wise would call these things guardians, the foolhardy would just call it obstacles, but EVERYONE would say monsters lurked in the depths.
Our Hero's boat was docked at the bottom steps of the temple. A face of fear and dread was on his face, as he was carefully avoiding the thousands of skeletons that littered the entrance. Any man would call this a graveyard, but a graveyard is where bodies are placed to rest, these skeletons were thrown out like garbage, taking up space. But our Hero pressed on, knowing full well that what was inside that temple now wasn't going to fix his past, but it will fix everyone's future.
The Hero only had scraps of leather and clothing that would protect him from anything deep inside. He grabbed a bone and tor off a piece of clothing to make a crude torch. It only illuminated the first few steps ahead of him, and when he passed the torch from his right to his left, it only revealed that there was no walls, only the abyss beneath his path. Even tho the whole place was cold death, he wiped the sweat off his forehead and walked into the shadows, leaving the sun light to get dimmer and dimmer.
What makes our Hero neither foolhardy or wise; was the fact that he did go inside this temple, its just not for the infinite power that is inside. The thing, that he is after, is after the infinite power.
Screams echoed from the abyss. The Hero was startled and stopped in place, listening for any distant noise. Feint scratching, whispers, all came from miles bellow him. On edge he hurried forward, constantly looking down then back in front of him again. Then he stopped in place, listened again.
He slowly turned his head up, then his face turned ghost white. A scream came from directly above him, and he ran. The light from where he came in slowly flickered, then finally went black.
Wish Entry #4376
A man has his house, and his wife, but he wishes for more. When his wife turned to her husband and said 'lets have a baby' he said 'We must'. When they tried and tried and tried, the wife was getting tired and blamed the husband. When I approached the husband, he said 'I wish I had a son'. The next day to their surprise, a young son of the husbands appeared at the door. The wife claiming that he had cheated, then walked out on the husband. The man got his wish, but now wishes for more.
