Some matches unwinnable

This isn't a whine about how overpowered some groups are but more about being placed in a match that is completely unwinnable.

I just joine a UTC cage match to find out the match is already in progress and my team are currently losing 14 -7. This gives me absolutely no chance of a victory whatsoever of having any real impact but still counts as a loss for me.

This is absolutely ridiculous and I really can't see the point in PVP in this game at all at this point.

Have had this happen for me a few times as well, once I lost the match even before I got to enter the ring. What's awkward is that you will get thrown in to replace people who leave pre-maturely, and the only people who leave are people who are obviously going to lose.

I don't mind playing a 0 - 14 match, but I'm not fond of it going on my record as a loss.

there is a third number in the W/L/X stats ... the X is how many games you leave prematurely (+1) for a rage quit, and how many of these you are subbed in for (-1 for going into a lost game)


so in theory it balances out, since you can leave a game without it counting as a loss in the future. I guess you can still go undefeated, you'd be like 300/0/300 though, which should be a mark of shame for anybody

I have been wondering what the 3'rd score is for. I would still prefer though that these matches didn't happen, I guess this is just an indication of the high number of cowards I see participating in these matches.

I would far rather that these bouts just didn't show on my record at all.

No offense intended here. But what's the big deal about having losses in your record? Unless you have a regular team you're running matches with and you're using the wins as a badge of skill. When you simply queue into the arena solo, you have no control who you will be grouped with. You may be placed with a group of skilled pvpers or with casual pvpers.

Just give it your best, and don't worry about the loss.

So *that's* what it is. I always thought it had something to do with ragequits, but couldn't figure out why mine was changing when I didn't rage.

This might be unrelated, but occasionally I see a "[?] Report" button appear near the scores. Is this for reporting the rager maybe?

I think thats more "report the scores on the screen" ie show the scorboard.

Oddly I'm somewhat iffy about the wins vs losses thing anyway. I can understand its value but since its all just e-peen anyway I'd much prefer to see my kills vs deaths.

I like it at win/losses. On my main who's support specced I can often go 0 / 0 in a fight while still feeling like I made a huge difference.

I had a match that lasted for surely 40min or so. No one could kill anyone and everytime the warning timeout - text would show, someone would geta kill and the match would continue, very tedious.

Ah, I can understand that, good point for sure MrTomas. The current setup just definitely stings for the PUGers among us.

Indeed. I have run into some of these matches myself. depending on when you play- I have often ended up in a match where it was literally 5 v 1 in the Arena matches. kinda sucks, the best I can do at that point is run, and hope to grab a wanderer and kill him before the rest of his team mates gank me.
