Hi all,

I've noticed that Ego Blast doesn't hold/daze the target at all in pvp. Is that intentional or a bug?
I tried other skills like Sonic Arrow which can also daze your target and it worked. The difference is that Ego Blast has 100% chance (against NPC's anyway) and Sonic Arrow has I think 10% chance.

I can see why the hold effect is removed in pvp but I'm just wondering if that's working as intended or is there something I missed?

It's just harder to land in pvp, and loses out to some of the more powerful stuns. I sometimes get it to land pretty well if I tap it repeatedly, but in about 1 every 10 or 20 times.

The reason Ego Blast does not 1-hit hold a player is that Ego Blast has only a 0.5 magnitude hold attached to it. This is enough to hold a henchman or villain, but you will also notice that Master Villains do not get held in one shot of Ego Blast. Consider all players Master Villains for how much magnitude is necessary to land Crowd Control effects.

The solution: Double Tap Ego Blast quickly. It will hold a player (or master villain) assuming they are not currently affected by Hold Resistance. The hold will only last a few seconds, however. A few seconds is all I need to start messing up someone's day, though...

Ah of course that makes sense.

Could I ask something tho? What is "tap" really?
Is it when you just "tap" the key on your keyboard really quickly to activate the skill?

So your suggestion is to hit my key repeatedly (well twice maybe) to achieve the hold effect?
