Can anyone link me a good Power Armor build level 1-40?
I'm struggling. I want to be DPS-Oriented, not Tanking oriented.
Thanks for any help you could provide... I seem to be dying with mobs who are equal level to me in Guardian Stance A LOT. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

I have so much Dex and Ego with that build it's sick....
If they reach me.... I'm dead.... IF they reach me....
The goal I think being kill them before they get to me... My Con and Str are 10.
While my Ego is 113 and my Dex is 123.

Keep in mind it's a custom build with "Quick Trigger" instead of "Mechanized"

Problem is , from what I've read on the forums and also from I have experience myself a Power Armor lives on his toggles and not really the big crit damages and mostly about sustained DPS over a longer period of time. (Of course veteran PA characters please correct me, but that's what I feel)
You'll get more bang for you buck if you wanna go the crit route to possibly role a Munitions or Fire type character.

Yeah... I just love the Power Armor Animations and my Characters Theme. Ya know?
I want to be a BIG CRIT DAMAGE type character and have the Power Armor so Im trying to work things around to maximize that. :D
Both Theme and Solo/Team friendly.

hehe ya always play what's fun that's true. I guess I' having fun with the Toggles so it doesn't mine, pretty sweet seeing 3 powers go off at once ;)

Without either Strength or Con, Invulnerability will not scale at all. You're better off going with LR or Regen.

Apparenlty you've never used Chest Beam. You can charge it while your other toggles are running. I run a Gadget/PA mix and really to drop any Supervillian all I need is Concussor and a charged Chest Beam (rank 3) to knock of 3-5k damage in roughly one charged beam while concussor is running (this is, of course, in avenger stance with rank 3 electric form and EGO/END superstats, since END affects energy form damage; Concussor hits for 250-300 a hit, Chest Beam hits for 2k-2.5k depending on buffs/debuffs, and even more on crit). Crit Chest Beam hits for a ridiculous amounts, just off the wall damage, and if you tap a chest beam beforehand they get a debuff that makes everything do more damage, and a tapped chest beam for me is 50-60ish energy for 700-900 damage, more if they're debuffed, and running END superstat I'm pushing 250 energy right now.
Unfortunately you can't use two charged PA abilities at the same time, but you can do two toggle and one charged if you had enough Endurance.
So you want PA with big hits? Just use Chest Beam.

I haven't really played PA, how does the toggle work? Do you just keep the powers on all the time and once you have the energy it auto engages? Or when you have the power you have to hit all of your hot keys separately? Also looking through the char builder I saw there were 2 shoulder powers, can they both go off at the same time, one for each shoulder?

That's very interesting, I'm still on the fence about what to PA power power to pick up for Level 26, I'm dead set for another healing ability at Level 23, but after hearing that I will go for Chest Beams at Level 26. When the respec happens perhaps I'll grab it earlier, or hell not that I think about, why not go for Chest Beams at 23, then a healing power at 26, since I heard it gets harder around 26 anyway.

It's pretty simple how the toggles work. Basically you have 3 slots, Shoulder, Hand, and Chest, and each PA power usually uses one of those slots. The advantage of this is that you can toggle all those powers simultaneously for some nice DPS, the catch though that if you toggle a 2nd power while the first power is still active and so forth, then that 2nd power costs an extra 15% to use and the 3rd an extra 15% too, etc... Pretty much if you 3 full toggles going depending on your stats you can run out of energy in about 1-2 seconds, sometimes 3-4 if you heavily stack Endurance and Intelligence as other people have posted in the higher levels.
Overall it's a fun class to play, but the disadvantage of PA abilities is that you really can't take other classes powers (Offensive powers that is) because when you have a toggle active, all other powers that are not toggles like PA are on a cooldown till the toggle is deactivated.

Why ego?
I would suspect with int/end, you could fire chest beams, + conc beams+ eye or chaingun for a much longer duration, and thus be doing way more damage.
Fyi, for anyone else, a large portion of the damage hes talking about here is electric form and avenger stance.

Without either Strength or Con, Invulnerability will not scale at all. You're better off going with LR or Regen.
I have to agree with this. Not having Str or Con as a Super Stat really makes Invulnerability into tissue paper defensive. While I understand you are looking to primarily run Targeting Computer for an offensive I'd suggest taking Personal Force Shield and Shield Surge instead and slottingit into your secondary build. If things turn grim switch builds real quick granting you a few moments of PFF before it collapses then hit Surge to grant you that extra defense if needed.
As long as you can get everything bound for quick reactions should be little need to worry about survivability.

To Builders:
1. I would grab quarry instead of targeting computer, I think having a reduction in power cost would help /ALOT/ more than targeting computer for a low energy build, but I could be wrong because I dont know how much energy targeting is going to return and it's stack rate.
2. as above, grab the "can use as hand slot" and energy-on-hit for your energy builder, and grab eyebeams + energy on hit, strat for above would be to hammer them with the energy builder and eye beam until quarry was stacked up and then unleash everything you've got, preferably keeping your energy builder or eyebeams going for the energy returns.
3. get energy return advantage for every ability you can, you are going to live and die by your ability to put out damage.
4. consider getting a high power knockback like shotgun+breaching round or similiar so you have something to defend yourself with when targets get close.

Ego was originally for PFF, but once I picked up Electric Form I really on switch if I'm up against more damage than I know I can take. Once the free respec comes I might switch to Int, but we'll see.

I like int alot as a PA. I took the recommended Str/int. str not so useful for pve, but I like the kb resist, and force for pvp.
I have 90str, 256int at 29 now. My conc beam is about 240/tick and uses 7.3energy/tick, in balanced with no energy form. If I had end as a stat instead of str, my sustained damage would be obscene.

out of curiosity what level are you? I thought about a Int/End as a superstat, but I'm so worried to not have CON on there because there were times where I just survived a large pull cause of bad respawns (I'm Level 24, granted I got 2 useless powers which I gotta live with till the free respec comes, but I still do pretty good for solo purposes) or what not, and if I didn't have that extra 1,000 health I wouldn't have come out of that big pull. I guess I'm more of the philosophy that you can't DPS when your defeated, lol.
Still curious nevertheless.

I totally said I was 29. haha. Invul scales with Cons way better then it does with str. I too have a few abilies that I will be ditching the moment I get the free respec. I have points wasted in chain gun, field drones, and eyebeam atm. which I don't ever use.
at 29, I have rank 3 invul now. its 21% -31 damage iirc. Don't remember my con atm, but thats about 90str.
I am DAMN hard to kill in pvp. Even without teleport hax. I have psionic healing for a direct heal. (If I had my wasted points back, I would have bionic healing for an instant/reactive heal.) Psionic is a powerful direct heal, but requires you to stop moving, and charge it. As opposed to bionic, which can be instantly put up while running away, or blocking. I also have unbreakable. Which is fantastic defense as well. This is instant cast, can be cast while held, and puts up a 1400hp shield at 29, rank1. Buys time for a full heal if I need it, or just lets me take way more damage when held.
Additionally, don't underestimate the cooldown reduction on things like unbreakable from int.

I'll post my build plan here. I was going to do my own, but whatever.
This is a very balanced build. built for pvp effectiveness, as well as powerful pve options.
Additionally, theme was considered. I would be a bit of a hypocrite if I didn't haha. Thematically speaking, it should be considered, at times mixing powersets works with a theme despite the obvious synergies. Might+PA is obvious. but Some fire attacks with PA can suggest a flamethrower as well, for example.

Some thoughts.
Eye beam sucks now. I've tried all three. Chain guns fast weak hits is horrible for invul, and regen in pvp. IT wont hurt, and just heal the other guy up. Also, it burns a ton of energy, its range is TOO large in pve, often aggroing addition packs, and gets really weak vs multiple enemies. I started using eye beam at the end of beta, and found it a good addition to conc beam damage, even if the energy costs were broken cheap. Now its just garbage. so shoulder launcher is back on the menu. bunker buster is weak. Especially so, with crippling challenge on power guant to break block. rank 1 SL on my 29, char with the 90str/250int does 500 crushing/450fireish. I found it slow and weak in beta, but Im going back to it now. 1k after 5s isn't too bad, and rank 3 is probably like 1500.
Micro muntions is of course god.
So, my conc beam does 250/tick, 500/second, micro does 220/s, and shoulder launcher 200/s combined for about 920dps. In balanced stance.
I wouldn't mind an energy form. Electric form meshes with PA. As it boosts particle damage. You can see I plan on picking up electric sheath. its a short term energy form. it helps break out of holds, and will increase all your damage temporarily, as well as give you more energy. (its arcane power for those that played wow) I'm not sure if it disables invul for its duration. I think it does.
Mighty leap will be my root. I wish it did more damage. Its not the strongest root/hold. but its fits thematically.
Better you then me on unbreakable, gives you charges of enrage when taking damage. Enrage is a stackable damage buff, that increases all damage done scaling with STR.
I have to look into how effective str scaling with enrage is. I might take enrage instead of electric sheath if its good.
Considering this, defiance in might is a decent choice instead of invul as well, if you are a str PA.
Electocute is the real hold.
I've considered many other abilities that mesh well as well. Orbital cannon is nice. but too slow for pvp. It is also very good, as it can be fired, then you can fire off your PA abilities while it casts. But if you had a strong hold, orbital cannon+chest beam+shoulder launcher would be pretty powerful.
Entangling mesh is nice. Tracker beam sucks.
