I would say Laser Sword from Power Armor looks more like a Lightsaber than Ego Blades, I would pick up some other skills aswell, such as Drain Life, Arch Lightning, I would drop Shadow Form and go for Regeneration instead...
Actually I will post something I just made, of course there's always room for tweaks and such :)

he's now lvl 8 I have a lvl 8 fire hero; I like this one better lots

I made strengh my Sstat to help knockbacks(force push)

I don't think regeneration is a good idea, it scales with presence.

Lightning reflexes may be better.

Force Bolts? Force Blast? You're making a Sith Sorcerer there...

The Ego Blades might not look perfectly like lightsabers, but it's your best bet for a complete destroyer. The Telekinesis powerset is just gravy for Dark Jedi. You have Telekinetic Wave which makes an excellent Force Push, Ego Choke for Force Grip, Telekinesis for Force Throw, and do you have any idea how much damage Ego Annihilation does? If you want a lightsaber-wielding slayer, this is the tree you want.

Drop PFF, it sucks anyway, go with Lightning Reflexes. Get a Dex/Ego build going for massive crit potential. Telekinetic Shield will serve as your barrier, granting you a constant deflection effect if you block often, and after the test server patch, it blocks significantly more damage than Force Sheathe.

Ego Storm can be picked up for a Force Destruction effect, and either Ego Form or Shadow Form when you want to switch to Offense. I'd rather have Shadow Form since it still helps the blade damage, but it also improves Telekinesis powers that already do good damage, you can color it as Dark Rage.


If you insist on Power Armor, at least grab the Energy Shield and slot it for Laser Knight. Little less damage for a nice auto-guard.

Just a heads up. LR is modified based on the speed of the incoming attack. So, if the opponent has slow attacks, LR is great. If you are facing rapid attacks, you will die...alot. I had to finally respec out of LR at 30+ simply because I could no longer survive 4+ pulls. Just thought I'd let you know :D

Sounds just like what a Jedi concept needs. Jedi are going to be mad hard to kill 1v1, but if overwhelmed, much easier. Besides, dodging things makes sense.

Kinetic Darts of Force Bolts, does it matter ?, of those two Force Bolts still fits it more, due to them knocking down, and graphical standpoint are not as flashy.

Force Blast is your Force Push, charge it up and you knock people away everytime.

its a Concept, and it works, atleast to the lvl which I played it ;)

Thing is, invuln, pff, and regen all work off different stats. A Jedi has to go full defensive mode to really survive a SWARM of blaster bolts, and for that you have Telekinetic Shield which has a lingering effect that blocks about 40% damage.

Conceptually, I've never seen Jedi fly. If you want a Jetpack flight, go with the boots. Super Jump kinda works, but I think the Disc Flight is best. It's an actual futuristic contraption doing the levitating.

The last thing I'd change is Ego vs Dex. Switch them. You need the Dex early on for Lightning Reflexes, waiting till level 13 to be able to dodge well is going to make LR useless at level 8.

Force Bolt Version

2nd travel power - yeah flight doesn't fit - but to be honest I pretty much just use acrobatics - don't really care for the others - boots/disc has a good theme to it

Biggest Different between force and kinetic bolts - force has KB and you can get a defensive advantage on the bolts - kinetic can stun and proc your 2nd id blade if you take the advantage

But will either build have a problem with energy - is con a a good third stat to pump up or would enudrance/recovery be better?

Alright, here's another one... my previous Ego/Dex TK suggestions are for a Dark Jedi that is the closest to the real thing while still being playable (Telekinesis powers fit well for the Force and Lightsabers, and it's not a crappy set).

This one I'm not so sure on the playability of... it has energy issues when I tested it, even with Focus of the Unleashed Tempest with a high DEX crit rate. However, with END as a super stat, you can literally spam Laser Sword without fear, and Laser Knight turns you into a deflecting machine. I still tried to make it playable, and somewhat PVP compatible (snares, travel power knock off, holds) but it's the closest thing to a real Jedi I can muster.

I would definitly say for a dark jedi go Electric colored red...also id forget the light saber and just pick up swords. They use swords in the kotr universe anyway and youll have more attacks to choose from.

One question though I have been thinking about, when does one take upgrades to these various powers. Meaning "Rank1, Rank2, etc..." When everyone posts their builds here do these upgrades go in order how they are listed, or do you take these upgrades randomly?

I'm liking my force "Jedi' so far, granted he's only 11 I just picked up Force erruption(or whatever that PBOE knockback power is) and LOVE IT

playing him reminds me a bit of playing The Apprentice in the Force Unleashed..the force attack knocks back alot, now only if Force has a pull...

I WAS going to drop PFF and reroll with reflexes but the PFF fits the concept(using the force as a shield) so I'll keep it

I also love how acrobatics works when fighting since he's ranged with the only melee(so far) I have is Laser sword and the afrementioned PBOE Force power.

I'm looking forward to seeing when I go with this concept, perhaps Electricity as others have posted..

I'm just not sure what Elec power to take..

Been using this up to lvl 18 now and I love it, but it's sometimes a bit hard to fight multiple enemies.
This is my attemt at trying to make a dark jedi type character with Dual Blades.. I have not tried it and I'm not at all sure if its going to work.
