It seems that you can expect extended outages with no communication.

I appreciate the info about a launch preview, but really, I think the community needs a little more attention right now. The server and launchpad issues are a huge black cloud right now that need to be addressed with some frequency. The whole "We have no ETA" update on the patcher is down post is not enough.
Please do your fans a favor and say something, ANYTHING more than what has been posted. Please.

We can expect zero communitcation with the player base when problems occur.

I just think it's funny to post this while the servers are down....ah good some salt to go in the wound.

Ya, a little info like, "we are still working on it and we have not forgotten about you" would suffice for me.;)
But I am kind of needy!:D

Damn - here I thought I had a joke by adding "browsing forums while the servers are down". damn you people for being annoyed with no-info-downtime as well :)

What an asinine post. Instead of letting us know what the hell is going on, they throw up cute videos and reviews about how great the game is. The only thing we have to go on was a brief post earlier in the day that the servers would be back up by 3:00pm, yet that was taken down almost as quickly as it was posted and replaced with some BS post about "small issues we are working to resolve." A small issue would constituent a server restart, or an hour or two of maintenance, not an entire day of NOTHING this soon after launch. This is a critical failure by Cryptic. If this is how they are going to react to problems that are going to crop up along the way, there is no point being apart of this community, or paying to play this game.

What tmarti24 said.
I really felt like I blew $49.99 today and wasted my day. Great success Cryptic.

My favorite is when the servers go down, then as the negative posts start demanding answers get posted, the forums magically go down too. Ostrich Syndrome FTW! ;)

Bah they are having some issues no need to get your Knickers in a bunch. I am guessing your the people that already have lv40's cuz you don't do any thing but sit on the game. Perhaps you should get jobs and realize that some times when your trying your best to fix something you don't have time to give a play by play.
Besides your all jealous cuz I'M IN THE VID AND YOUR NOT!!! LOL

1. This is something that should of been posted on Sept 1st.
2. There shouldn't be any postings of stuff like this, talk about stepping on your own toes, lmao
3. The next thing posted by the cryptic team should be:
A) Servers are back up
and then/or
B) "Here's what we're doing for the lost time to players...."
Options A and B don't need to be done in any specific order.

....ok two major disappointing days in the first official week of the game.
I agree that, perhaps, posting links to glowing reviews should not be a priority at this point.
Right now "Hello Kitty Island Adventure" (http://hko.aeriagames.com/playnow/) looks pretty promising.
No... I don't hold any punches back -.-

well this is just something that happenes to a new game within the 1st week of launch, maybe not an all day event but never the less it happens for any number of reasons. just to name a few of those games: Linage II, EQ2, WoW, AoC, SWG, Warhammer, LoR. no matter how prepared the companies are & ready for release things happen. :(
since Champions online is an updated remake of CoH, faster & better in everyway, things have occured that Cryptic didn't expect. that's right....Champions Online is from the developers of CoH....as stated on the back of the game box.
never the less, all's we can do is try & be patient with them to fix what wrong & get the server up. personaly I was expecting it to happen, it was just a matter of time.
when these things happen every game I've played has extended the subscription renewal date so I never lost any amount of play time days (that's been my experience). :)

Too bad they didn't still run COx, I'd be happy to smash heads over there, I just like flying around, being violent, and then flying around again.
Back to the garage and the WIP rocket pack.
