Single Blade build?

Trying a Single Blade character after playing up to mid-20's as a Darkness DPS (so easy in PvE) and an Invuln Might Tank (slow and funny how knockback is a disadvantage but pretty hard to die). This power set feels really weak!

At level 10 my Darkness guy was doing crazy cone damage and as a bonus knocking foes off their feet to mitigate all damage. My SB character gets AoE if he spends a perk on it - except that perk doesn't even work!

Damage is blah but it'll do with Reaper's Touch, Caress and..the bleed one I can't remember the name of. Is there a passive that will make this build work in PvE? Regen maybe? I have Lightning Reflexes right now and I'm strugging to take down Master Villains.

I see a lot of SB people in game - whatcha workin' with, people?

I grabbed Invulnerability from the power armor tree, since my build was using a lot of STR. So far I really have enjoyed it and did not have a lot of trouble taking down most master villains on my own (Had a problem with the Purple Gang one, but that might of been cause I was running it 1 level before I should of). Of course, this was pre-nerf and have not had time to play since then.

I just got my Singleblade/force guy to level 9 today and i feel the only reason why i can survive is b/c PFF. Now by far im no expert this is only like my second person but I feel like if i had not gotten this as soon as i did soloing would be Much harder. My guy is Str/End if that makes a differents.
