Wrangler Perk

The wrangler perk requires you to kill 1000 burnside ghosts. Anyone know if they appear any where other than burnside? And the reason i ask is because I actually spent about 2 hours or so grinding these mobs when they were grey, simply to get the pet. But then i noticed there is a perk to kill 5k of them, and no way in hell am I grinding 4k more of them in lowbie burnside.

Unless they appear again in Lemuria or Monster Island, I do not think so.

Nope, Burnside ghosts are only in Burnside. Most of the big perks involve pointless grinding, it's really pretty lame of Cryptic to ask players to kill 500 times more of something than they have any good reason to kill.

Quick and concentrated way to do it, is by going through the Sinisister mine a couple of times.
Also prevents other folks from nicking your kills.

Plus, if you're AoE, then you can also blow up some regular destructables (crates, tables, benches etc) in there, which also counts towards a perk.

well it took me roughly six hours to grind 5000 purple gang while saving up for a respec, so i figure it'd take less for ghosts as they are weaker...

it isnt that bad
