View Full Version : Autotarget prioritising enemies over objects

Right now I'm using the nifty FPS-style setup detailed here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g1Oe3KezBUU&fmt=22), and while it's great, it has trouble with telekinesis. A fiddly power at the best of times, it becomes hard to use because the autotarget function never selects objects so long as there's an enemy on screen. Is there a way, or could there please be a way to lessen the way it prioritises enemies over static objects?

This isn't a general autotarget problem, it's a specific TK autotarget problem. There are essentially no other powers where you'd want to target objects first by default. I agree it would be really nice if TK would automatically target a nearby destructible object you are able to lift; currently I find it nearly unusable.

That's a good point. I guess there aren't too many powers that rely on targetting anything other than enemies or allies. Still, it certainly deserves consideration by the devs, and if any enterprising players can think of a solution I'd love to hear it.
Does this game support macros / scripting?

Maybe a good solution would be to put "target next/last/nearest object" options in the binds along "target enemies" and "target friends". They would be unbound by default, and people without TK could just ignore it. But actually, I'd probably use "target nearest object" occasionally just to throw stuff at baddies.
