Beneath the Paint

Ive done all parts of the quest Beneath the Paint except for inserting the virus into the computer, and that is because I cannot find the computer. The quest log states that it should be in the main hanger, and that is where the green circle is, but I have run all through there multiple times and the computer isnt there... Ive tried multiple instances. When asking in zone chat others simply replied that they were unable to find it as well. Does anyone know where the computer is or is the quest just bugged?

It is in the hanger and looks like a really old computer bank. Not a sleek terminal.

Comp is in the same building as the tanks and the SAM batteries, and it's on a table near some gas bottles. There's also a Hunter-patriot goon typing away at it in general.

Could be that it isn't giving its usual twinkle, but it should be there. Laptop.
Watch out for the Master Villain in there btw.

I went home at lunch and played through the mission again. I went back into the hangar and killed all the mobs. I even went through and destroyed all the objects just to make sure the computer wasnt hiding somewhere. No computer...

Then I decided to drop the mission and pick it back up. I went back to the hangar and found the computer in the back corner of the hangar where I thought it was the whole time. I saw the guy typing before, and the brown box looked like a computer terminal object from a previous mission. The problem was when I went up to it originally it never glowed, and it never gave me the option to interact with it.

I have to assume the issue occurred while I was cleaning out my inventory space. There is a CD that is required to upload the virus which I mustve dropped from my inventory. That was my mistake. However, it wouldve been immensely helpful if I would not have been able to drop an item that is required to complete a mission I am currently on. Or if I wouldve been able to go up to the terminal and have it say something along the lines of you cannot upload the virus as you no longer have the CD...

At any rate I figure I killed the Super Villian in the hangar about a dozen times and he was giving me ~1700exp per kill, so I gained an extra 20k exp from him alone... lol

I believe I have done the same thing. Is there a way to retrieve the virus again? Or do I just have to drop mission, and then take again?

Some quest items you can drop and it doesn't care. Some quest items will stop you from doing the quest if you drop them. Generally, if the quest item's presence or useage is already checked off, you're good to drop it, but that's not always the case so do so with caution.

If you are yet to use the item (ie, insert the virus onto the computer), dropping it is definitely a bad idea.
