Tutorial Trouble

I'm confused about when I have to pacify enraged drones, I thought this just meant kill three of them and I've already destroyed the consoles, but if someone could explain how to do this I'd be grateful. I know its probably a stupid question with an obvious answer but I don't feel like running around aimlessly more.

look on your hot bar and you will see an icon that resembles a gun.. target a drone and zap them with it. After a few seconds they will disappear
