this quest was given by a hiker is bugged so bad,

1: entrance door has no flashy door so if you couldn't some how finish it, your stuck unless can get to end door.

2: scientists suppose to save, first one runs off and hits a rail and gets stuck no credit for mission, and 3rd one runs into a console and gets stuck no credit.

Bumping this because it's still apparently bugged and it's the only result I got from a search. Here's the issue and a workaround for anyone else that may be having problems.

Issue:

The scientists follow you around after you save them, and you're able to talk to them. Once you talk to them, they will run for the nearest exit in a straight line, and if they hit something they get stuck and eventually reset. You don't get credit for saving them if this happens.

Workaround:

Save the scientist, and let him follow you around. Move to the nearest exit and stand somewhere there's a clear, unobstructed path to the door. Then talk to the scientist. He will run to the door and despawn, giving you credit for rescuing him.

if this is how the mission is intended to work, it should probably say so in the mission briefing.

of course. "Working on it" doesn't help people who get the mission and can't complete it, which is why I posted the workaround in case they, like myself, come to the forum and do a search to see what other people may know about this mission.

I managed to get teh first 2 scientists out, but spent 20 minutes working on the 3rd -- couldn't get him to follow long enough. You need him to get past the comp console and around the big machines near the entrance - frustrating!

Hopefully we'll see a fix soon - this really doesn't seem like it should take much to take care of. In fact, all they'd have to do for most is to remove an environmental object.
