Ugh, Yeah I gotta do a mission and get a level omg -.-.
Is there fun stuff to do with friends? Strategic gameplay? Or are friends useless, just go in and button mash.
or is it more like, You do that spell anthen Ill do this , Crowd control with this, then you finish it off with this!
Is there more stuff to do then just kill mobs? Is this good for casual gamers? And anymore things about the game would be appreciated =d

Greetings Suffero,
I figured I would offer my meager reply since no one has responded yet. Take from it what you will.
I have been playing CO for several weeks now, starting in beta and then the head-start. Both my boyfriend and I signed up for lifetime memberships, though we were only considering the 6 month at first.
We have beta tested and played almost all of the popular MMO's since EQ, with **** being the most recent exception... we think we've found a new home in CO!
In response, to each question in turn, here are my humble answers (forgive me for chopping your post up, but I did so only to answer in order:
Hey, on CO how is having fun with friends?
For the most part, we have enjoyed teaming up and exploring, doing missions/quests and following the story lines. We often take a break for some PvP fun and just to chat and check out things we've never seen. It's a pretty good time so far, with the exception of a certain loot settings annoyance (I'm not sure if it's bugged or broke or what - we're hoping for some modifications/additions to the loot rules). While there are times of silence in chat, most of the time there are some discussions, questions or comments and we try get involved by chatting in zone chat and local chat as applicable.
All in all, it's pretty fun so far. Though I have no idea if my opinion will be the same after I have 2 plus characters maxed out in level and gear.
Is it fun to do missions?
Yes. I am relieved that they (Cryptic) did not instance all missions and quests. Many of the quests and story line takes place live in one zone or another. Though there are a few missions to kills 'bosses" through the quest lines. Though most of these I have noticed are soloable if properly prepared and/or level appropriate - it is pretty easy with a friend or two tagging along.
So no, you don't have to grind instance after instance to advance. It is pretty fun leveling as a team, but most of the time, it isn't really necessary to have help to do a majority of the quests. With the exception of a bug or two, I have repeatedly enjoyed most of the quests. I can not speak for end game content yet.
Ugh, Yeah I gotta do a mission and get a level omg -.-.
Haha, I know that feeling all to well. In CO, however, it's almost too easy to level (and they (Cryptic) are addressing that currently). I never feel like I have to grind in CO. And though gathering crafting components isn't always a basket of fun with a bow and ribbon on top - I think they have done a really good job so far with what has been implemented and I have high hopes for additional content and items for crafting.

I cannot say whether or not you will have fun in CO. Part of that answer depends on your flexibility and demands as a gamer, such as are you a certain type of gamer (raider, power-leveler, PvP enthusiast, roleplayer, etc)?
With a little creativity and flexibility, I think most gamers could really enjoy this game for a while. I dare say it does not take nearly as much creative thinking to enjoy repeatedly (like it did in a certain other hero/villain game we played). The appeal of the game is pretty broad, there's something there for everyone (from what I have seen so far). Friends are definately not useless, but it is usually more fun to be teamed up than solo.
As for "just killing mobs" to advance, you are often on quests to 'kill mobs' for one reason or another. Whether you want to grind beyond what quests are asking of you is your choice, but I have never done so in this game and have leveled as fast as I would ever want to.
Whether casual, hardcore, or in between, this game has proven pretty solid to me so far. I usually spend a few days hardcore and a few days casual, roleplay / explore every week - no matter what game I'm playing. And it has been a blast so far!
The biggest problem I have had so far is finding a powerset or hero that I most agree with. Most of them are a lot of them. And since you can spec however you want, it really leaves it up to you to perfect your own hero. It's a wonderful freedom I hope they keep in CO.
This game has personality and substance. And so far, I am very hopeful and look forward to additions to the game ( as opposed to restrictions). Please feel free to chat with me at anytime in game if you wish.
