PVP Noob, PVP Questions?

1. How do I get into a pvp match. Which area / city do I unlock hero games in, I've tried the red fist in canada and desert but they both just stay in queued forever.

2. If I join a hero game is there a level range and what is it? For instance if I joined a game would I join one with players all within a 5 level limit? or would I join ones with lvl 40 players when Im level 12?

3. Is martial arts claws a good power in pvp, I know melee works but I have a lunge to catch teleporters and flyers?

4. Does the martial arts move Sneak do anything in PVP?

Sorry for the noobish questions, I don't have a lot of time to play and so I often don't find out stuff for days...

1) There is a red fist on the map area (bottom left) click it and you queue.

2) You will go into the first available (only one I've done) at level 20 - might want to level a bit to get more powers before trying.

4. Does the martial arts move Sneak do anything in PVP?


Well if it works the same as it did in CB then all sneak does is turn you transparent to other players. They would have to be nearly blind not to see you. Plus it slows your movement speed down to a crawl so even if it did work, by the time you reached the person you wanted to surprise they would most likely have moved.

As useless as some skills are, this one probably tops my list for being universally useless in both PvE and PvP.

Well the Stalker/Ninja/Rogue is apparently dead as an archetype then.

Really kind of sad. I know such sneakiness doesn't seem very heroic, but hey, sneakiness gets you a long freakin way in Batman: Arkham Asylum, so I know at least ONE hero out there can get it to work, if not in this game. =/

1. How do I get into a pvp match. Which area / city do I unlock hero games in, I've tried the red fist in canada and desert but they both just stay in queued forever.

Starting at level 5 you are able to take part in the Hero Games from almost any location in the world. Find a safe spot and click the red fist icon on the edge of the mini map.

The small red fist on the edge of the mini map will open a window where you can select a game to "queue" for.
At set level bands there are certain pvp game types and locations to choose from.
Once you queue for one of the hero games in your tier you are placed in a queue that looks for other players to match up. You will be sent a notification when the match is ready. Click the button on the match notification and you will be transported to the game arena.

If it is taking a long time chances are there are not enough players in the queue. Each Game type and arena has a required number of players that are needed before the queue will send out notifications.

The Hero Games are separated by tier. When queuing for a match you are matched with players in your tier and level range.
Upon entering the match your combat level will be set to the max level for the tier.
Queue Tiers and Games
• Tier 1(Levels 5-10): The UTC Cage Match
• Tier 2 (levels 11-20): The UTC Cage Match
• Tier 3 (levels 21-30): The UTC High Tech Arena
• Tier 3 (levels 21-30: The Westside B.A.S.H.
• Tier 4 (levels 31-40): The Westside B.A.S.H.
• Tier 4 (levels 31-40: The UTC Lava Temple
• Tier 4 (levels 31-40): The Apocalypse Stronghold

Thanks very much for the info, think I'll retcon sneak then, seems pretty useless overall, think I'll grab a telekinesis hold to help against ranged PVP.
