Looking for some powerful single target dmg

Ok, currently I have my AoE build that I would like goes well with the theme of my char. What I need is a real good short charge single target dps. The only one I currently have is Psi Lash and I use it mainly for holds, the charge up is way to log to be effective otherwise.

Looking for some suggestions and I need to keep it ranged for my char.

I am kinda fond of Assault rifle, actually. No charge, single target. I likes it.

In the open beta a friend of mine had very high single point DPS from gigabolt. You should look at that. I've played mostly as force so there might be some really good ones in other trees.
