PvP is a huge factor in deciding if I play this or not. I am having fun in the first cage match arena but I guess that ones spans from lvl 1-20? Anyway, it gets boring fast and I hope there are other arena types available to play in. If anyone could be so kind and explain them for me I would be really appreciative. Thank you.

Players can join as a team or solo. The winning team is the first team to earn the required number of player defeats. The number of player defeats depends on the arena.
Arena List
Cage match
High tech
Lava
The B.A.S.H.:
http://www.champions-online.com/node/97720
This is a free for all game. There are no teams. Up to 20 players battle to earn the required number of player defeats.
BASH list
Westside
Apocalypse:
http://www.champions-online.com/node/106007
This is a scenario game. Two teams of 5 players compete to complete the objective of the scenario.
Apocalypse list
Stronghold
In stronghold, players will be teamed up on the hero side or the villain’s side. The objective is to defeat the other teams’ signature characters.
Going Forward:
This is just the beginning of what the Hero Games is and will be. The PvP team is dedicated to bringing a lot of cool content and games to the PvP community.
As the community grows we hope to grow the games with your help. Lucid and myself are very active in the forums and watch the Hero Games threads all the time. We may not post all the time but we do look at the feedback and discuss it on a regular basis.
Don’t be surprised if you see us in game. I am sure I had more than a few matches with a few of you over the weekend.
Keep posting feedback and keep on queuing!

for pvp to work well there needs to be a serious powers balance pass and they need to separate the pvp balancing from the pve balancing so that balancing for one, doesn't ruin the other..
i hope your pvp team takes this into account..

I hope to see some serious "battleground" type instances in the future.

Cryptic has already announced they are looking into balancing the different profiles for a team--guardian, protector, avenger, etc. Nerfing frameworks, on the other hand, really doesn't seem to make any sense. If supernatural's regen is keeping some people alive better than others, than go and get regen. There's nothing stopping anyone from getting a passive defense power and if that's what it takes ot compete in PvP, find one that works for your character and have a field day.
Even still, to make the game more challenging in general, devs have announced they are decreasing the effectiveness of all passive defense powers. People with regen or personal force field (or something comparable) will still have a huge benefit in PvP over players who only slot attack powers.
At any rate, I think the PvP system rocks and I'm excited to see all the content. Lava did you say? Cool! The BASH is fun, the cage matches are fun. I haven't tried Apocalypse yet, but I'm stoked for that too.

I'd really like to see 20 v 20 matches (or larger) in the future. A scenario that involves a tiered lair (ie, open the front gates via PQ), storm the research lab to destroy the robots, which then unlocks a legendary villian that the raid needs to take down. Give the game a 30 minute time limit with PQ style rewards along the way (on top of the pvp renown). Defenders get their rewards for repelling attacks, which resets the tier (and drops PQ style loot).
Eh, just thinking out loud...

The brawl city street sounds good, I cant wait to try it.
Though I would love to see a BIG pvp area. Reusing the tutorial Map as a 50red vs 50blue or just group vs group vs group vs etc would be great. I play warhammer also, and the Praag rvr map with all the city streets promotes both zerg and down to solo/small group fighting in the same area. The tutorial map and the main Millennium City map would be great as an instanced PvP maps. Throw in a few hold/capture objectives/areas for acclaim to give people something to fight over and I think the pvp crowd would be more than satisfied.
Over all, I think pvp is heading in the right direction. I do hope any power nerfs go slowly and not too hard. The long fights I'm having in the cage matches are alot of fun win or loose. Some powers I'm sure can use some small adjustments, but in the end from what I have seen is Teamwork wins over power sets usually.
But yes, I would love to see more pvp areas, the bigger the better. How many people could be squeezed into a instance anyway? 200 v 200 would be interesting :)

MORE THAN ANYTHING- I want ALL ARENA CHOICES STARTING AT LEVEL 1-10!!!
I think it's completely pointless to have 3 arena maps, but only allow one per bracket.
In WARHAMMER- they had 3 maps per bracket. Although one was everyone's favorite- playing the other two still kept it fresh, because playing the exact same map over and over again can make it too mundane. Being forced to play "not my favorites" every now and again means that when your favorite comes around, you shout "YES!!!! I LOVE THIS MAP!!!!!"
Make the maps random. Don't allow players to choose- or else no one will ever get to play the less favored maps.
Warhammer was great at this. I'd queue up, and randomly get put in a map. Players could pick- but the game encouraged random maps (fastest gameplay) first.

Yeh just hit 21 and am seriously unimpressed with those things you can enter.
The tech arena just seems demented. The falling damage is ludicrous.
BASH is just silly. Pity I didnt get to bash in beta as then maybe I would have realised the must have power build. As it seems quite pointless without specific powers.
Sigh.

CoX type of PVP maps would work really well in CO, because there would actually be people playing in there since everybody is on one server. Add some incentives for people to go there on top of it (open missions, increased exp for killing mobs in there, etc), and you got yourself a rock solid PVP feature/map.
Perhaps have a zone where people can join as bad guys or the good guys, and then top it off by setting it up in such a way that it's BAD vs GOOD vs NPC vs BAD, 3-way. You can do a lot with CO in this regard simply because people will find other people to fight in these zones since everyone is on the same server so there will be no population shortage problems, like in AoC where you wait for hours sometimes to get into a minigame.
