May we please have macro's similar to CoX?

I have a method for implementing it. If it doesn't suit your need or style perhaps it could at least get the brain-juices working.

I would like to see macro's enetered on another tab in the options menu. Start by (optionally) dragging and dropping a click, charge, or maintain power. Then enter an emote into a 'emote' field. Then enter text in a 'text' field.

Each macro is named M1,2,3...n. Each macro that is not tied to a power is just a colored backdrop with M(x) written over it. Each macro that is tied to a power is the power-tray picture with 'M(x)' written over the top of it (or in a corner or whatever). These pics are located on the 'macro' tab and may be dragged to the power-tray.

If you really wanted to get fruity and create a more robust system you could permit multiple emote and chat fields with a time field in between them.

A third power-tray would be nice do so I would have the option to use either a regular fireball (for example) or the one I macro'd a cute little catch-phrase for.

Thank you for your time.

I'd like to see the ability to make custom macros for things like assisting. I know there is an assist key but you have to target someone first. I would rather like to see the abitlity to make a custom assist macro so you don't have to click on a group member every time before you hit the assist key. My Supergroup is going to run set groups for PVP and there will undoubtedly be a main assist in the group, etc.

Spam and emote macros, no thanks. Macros with a time delay function makes macros way too powerful. You have just presented the best argument against a macro system ever.

You wouldn't need a macro for that, you can do it with a key bind as far as i know.

/bind <key> "assist <name>"

Just replace <key> and <name> with the proper values and you're sorted.

I don't think the macros should be a fighting tool, so maybe don't let powers be activated. But I would like ONE macro slot, just for text, so I can have my hero catch phrase said at the touch of a button.

something like:
"From out of the Blue, a Force (bolt) for Justice strikes!" :p

I know a lot of people have issues with macros, but the thing is that a lot of people are already using them through 3rd party software and expensive hotkey keyboards.

I'm not sure if I agree or disagree with their use, but the fact of the matter is that adding them or leaving them out does little to the overall balance of the game.
