Do Canada and Desret ?

Is it possible to do both the Canada crisis and the Desert crisis?
If not then does that mean there will be perks from the one I dont choose to do that will be lost , that I can never get ?
This is pain for badge collectors , and so early in the game!!!!

I don't remember any perks in the crisis parts of than the kill X number of bad guy ones. All those bad guys can be killed later in the game for those.

Canada takes less time and there's less competition for some of those earlier missions. Seriously that "save the scientists" mission has just a few spawns and they were camped to death every time I tried to do it.

You can get both sets of perks. It works like this:

A) go to desert and do all the quests
B) after you've defeated Gigaton do NOT dig out to the post-crisis desert. Instead head back to the vault entrance and return to the Crisis version of the desert
C) take the helipad to Crisis Canada
D) complete all of Canada
E) after you get to post-crisis-canada, before doing anything else, hop over to post-crisis desert and talk with Kaufman

Voila'... all perks collected.

[EDIT] Also remember to collect the "hidden" exploration perk in the Tutorial zone by climbing over the crashed Qularr assault ship near where you meet the major.

Note: the same is possible if you go to Canada first but instead of using the portal you exit the game wait a few minutes and log back on and you will be kicked out of the instance and back into Canada Crisis.
