View Full Version : Mouse over buff FULL information

I'm sick of getting random buffs that say "blah" and "meh" or to be more precise "arms damage" or w/e else.

When mousing over it it just says the name of the buff and gives ZERO other information at all.

So...what im suggesting is that we should have detailed, buff information when mouseing over it, telling us exactly what it does, if its good or bad, and giving detailed stat alteration information.

EXACTLY the same can be said for defiance and enrage and other things like that.

More of a bug that a suggestion but, it would also be nice if the timer/duration on these buffs ALWAYS showed and didnt randomly dissappear after a while, its annoying not always knowing how much time it has left as i need to micro 3 at once.

To add to that, we should have the ability to mouse over enraged and defiance and also get:

- The number of stacks it currently has
- The amount of additional damage we are doing/preventing

I reckon this would be a life saver for how it is now, having to guess is annoying especially against boss's and when it large groups as well.

On that side note, what is "arms damage"? Is it good or bad? I've never been able to tell.

"Mystic Power"? WTF is that supposed to mean?

Buffs, debuffs, effects are all a complete mystery to me.

My main is pretty much straight fire. "Clinging Flames" is a secondary effect on almost every power or advantage. I have no idea what it does. I know clinging flames somehow aids my Thermal Reverberation (which, btw, I never know is working) but what else does Clinging Flames do?

I think I'm seeing the effect on mobs cause they start flailing about but is that interrupting their attacks? Are they effectively stunned and unable to attack with Clinging Flames on them? I dunno. The game doesn't say. Also, the only way I know that Clinging Flames is hitting them is thanks to the animation. I rarely see debuff icons on the mob vitals display.

An advantage for Fire Snake decreases Fire resistance by 80%. Is that always? How long does it last?

Also, picking up a second or third rank of a power is arcane at best. The description goes on for miles and manages to convey no information. Only repetitive testing, equipping a power/advantage/etc shooting a dummy, rinse repeat is able to give the most modest of hints as to what is going on.

I don't expect the entire combat table to be laid bare. Half the fun of an MMO, for me at least, is figuring that sort of thing out.

That said, it doesn't need to be this impenetrable. Improved tooltips, descriptive tooltips, please.

At the moment, the best I can say about Clinging Flames is "makes the target flail about" that's about it. Is it giving them a DoT? Interrupt? What?

Dear Dev, what do these powers do? I have to ask cause the game certainly isn't telling us.
