So I was trying to set up my gamepad for CO yesterday. Here is a picture, notice the red button near the top
http://www.saitek.com/uk/prod/p990.htm . Got it all set up, the only way it would work properly was to have the red button on (lit up). I played with it for awhile and noticed I was lagging really badly, I thought it was the heat here (in Japan and it was hot yesterday). Anyway I couldnt get used to it, mainly because the lag and disconnected it...

Later that day I decided to try it again, was trying to fine tune the controls in hopes of getting better with it. I always play with the FPS meter running in game. I hit the red button (no pun intended) and what I noticed changed everything. I went from roughly 35 fps to 20 in an instant. And it stayed there. I pushed the button again and sure enough I was back to 35. Played with it alittle more and every time the red button was on FPS went to hell.

Finally set up the controller without the red button ( I guess its some kind of shift state to inable you to have more button combos ) and everything is great. I started getting used to the gamepad and really fell in love.

In short, if you are having lag of any type and use a controller, maybe try messing with some of the shift states and it just might clear up. No clue if this is the clients fault or the gamepads fault.
