View Full Version : Downtown Dustoff, My Lost Foot - bugged?

Has anyone been able to complete these two missions?

Downtown Dustoff fails even though the evac teams survive.

Xiress is nowhere to be found on most shards for My Lost Foot. Sometimes she isn't there and sometimes she's stuck halfway in a building with no dialogue options. Clearing the Destroids dosn't help.

Xiress is basically always in the wall, just sometimes she is further back so you can't see her sticking out. She seems to spawn there for some reason. I went through several instances of MC looking for her too at first, and finally saw her sticking out of the wall once. Went to another instance where there was no sign of her and typed /target Xiress and then chose to follow her and it tried to send me into the wall. And like you said, no way to interact.

Also had the same problem with Downtown Dustoff. Made a topic about it earlier asking if anyone could complete it but I don't think many people have tried the mission yet.

I tried these 2 quest over and over...switching instances like madman...after the 16 instance change i finally got Xiress working properly. The Downtown Dustoff took me 9 tries... Sometimes the civilians just wont walk at all, others would fall from the ramps or would get stuck.

But I cant get Waterfron Watcher to work grrrrr

I had to switch through a lot of instances to get Waterfront Watcher to work. The only way you can talk to him is if he is standing at the podium already giving his speech.

I completed it, but it took a while. I periodically went back and checked every once in a while, most of the time she was missing, once she was just standing there and wouldn't talk. Eventually I found her being harassed by a couple bad guys, and after defeating them I was able to finish it.

Sorry to ask, but where is this mission located?

Both of the missions in the title of the thread are Downtown, near the Harmon Industries Building. I got through My Lost Foot on the first try a few days ago, so they've probably fixed the problem there. Xiress appeared on the sidewalk for me and I had no problems after that.

Downtown Dustoff, on the other hand.... <sigh> Why doesn't the helicopter ever arrive?

A helicopter is supposed to come? I thought we walked the people to the osprey that landed there, and protect the osprey while they get on board... My question was why doesn't the damn osprey ever leave during or after the time we protect it? The mission autofails when the timer runs out, because the 'walk the civillians to the landing point' or whatever, part of the quest never updates, yet the next part of the event starts and times down.

One problem I found with Downtown Dustoff was that a civilian had somehow gotten into the water at the bottom of the stairs / ramp and could not get out and so could never get to the evac point and the mission timed out. I let it expire, dropped it, picked it up again, and this time, all civilians spawned properly and got to the copter fine.

Well, I don't know what an osprey is (other than the seabird), but NOTHING in the way of transportation showed up for me.

Osprey's are the aerial enforcers in Serpent's Lantern, and also the general transport of Harmon Industries, they're a VTOL (Vertical TakeOff and Landing) craft, kind of like a chopper mixed with a jet.

People keep saying chopper, do they mean Osprey? 'cause I've never seen a chopper at this mission, but I have had a friendly osprey land that has a health bar that gets depleted as destroids attack it.

I assume the reason it kept failing for me must have been because one of the civvies got stuck like the previous poster mentioned, and I didn't bother looking for them.

Thanks for the explanation of an osprey. Nothing like that showed up, either.

As for Serpent Lantern, that was the most boring "action" pack....

1. You're character is given a Smoke Signal device to summon the Osprey.

2. Dark Necromancy has summoned another thread back from oblivion!

Same problem summon the osprey and the citizens won't walk to it, it's like their stuck on an object so the mission fails. After 8 tries gave up:mad:

Yes, Dustoff is confirmed to be broken (or re-broken). Tested it earlier today.

The patch notes mentioned a fix for Downtown Dustoff, and I went back to test it:

The first time I tried it, I think none of the agents died but remained and 1 civilian remained and the timer counted down and I failed. So, there are still issues that can make this mission malfunction.

The second time I tried it, I saw at least one agent die, but all the civilians and all but 1 agent ended up disappearing (not sure if more died or not), but the mission then succeeded. I don't know if the agent dying is related to the civilains being successfully activated or not.

I'm not clear on what is necessary for success, but my understanding is that the civilians escaping is all that is required, and at least the mission is possible to complete at the moment.

I've tried this mission about 8 times scattered over several different days. I kill anything in the vicinity just to be sure, and I can't get the mission to complete. The civilians take a step closer to the evac transport about once every minute, and on my best run, I only got two of them to get inside. I've never lost any of the rescue team, though. I'll see if I can get one killed and see if that lights a fire under the civvies.
