In trying to surpass CoX with customisability, I think this would be an easy step, unless some form of coding prevents it.

For example, I have a character designed to look like a frog, but the darkest green is that of the Hulk variety, and I can't get any darker on the skin unless I put on tights, but then my head/hands/feet cannot match that color.

Again, awesome game, great stuff, and major bugs come before cosmetics.

Nice thought.

Problem is the idiots out there who would immediately be using it to make naked characters. Which is just what happenned when it was available in CoH.

So once again the people with a reasonable use for such a facility lose out to the need to not give immature mitwits rope.

PS. probably the same reason we can't put stuff down after picking it up. :) You just KNOW idiots would be spelling "insert rude word of your choice here" with cars in Ren Centre.

so what if people make naked characters, thats what the game rules are for, and what moderators etc are for. Dont punish everone for a few possible bad apples.

I tried to make a character with a bionic arm, and a tank top, but i could only get the tank top with a shirt under it if i had a bionic arm. so i tried to make the shirt the same colour as his skin, but you cant.

It would also be nice to have no limit on choosing items from different sub categories. like why can we have a cape if i choose jacked type etc. cant we have a bullet proof vest and a cape?

Or all the mouth options that vanish if you put on a half helm. The list goes on. I'd like for al options in a said field to be avalable regardless of what other option you choose, unless it would just cause bad clipping ala spiky hair and a hat.

Another problem with this is, it would preclude making characters of certain ethnicities. My own African sorceror would never have been possible to make ...
