i have been stuck at "retrieving list of characters" screen for the past 30mins. anyone else having this issue?

We have been talking about this problem since yesterday afternoon. I have not been able to get back into the game since aobut 5:00PM Central on 08/29/2009. I am pretty much thinking they just need to reboot the sever, but from what I have seen is that there is other people who are still able to log in and play. I am not a computer wiz about this, but I think it may have something to do with the distance to the server.
Not sure though. Well, I hope it helps you to know that you are not the only person with this problem. I hope the people who monitor these boards are paying attention. I am just surprised to see these kinds of problems after a title gets launched. Sounds like windows. Ship a broken game and then patch the stuffing out of it when it hits. Go figure.

From the looks of it, there are quite a few people who are having this same problem. For me, the problem occurred at around 11am PST 8/29/09 and its a bit over 24 hrs later and I'm still stuck at the "Retrieving list of characters screen."
I also tossed up a support ticket which has yet to be answered.
