View Full Version : Option to Opt out Zone Intro

I'd like to know if there's a way to opt out of the zone intro audio cutscene. This is the panoramic intro where some hero or another describes the zone... i.e. witchcraft describing the desert.

I ask this not because these cutscenese are annoying (they are), but more so because I either crash or my comp hangs every time there is one.

If there isn't an option, there really ought to be one.

Hitting ESC usually works for me.

The 'space bar' works too. It is what I hit to skip the tutorial intro because, regardless of how cool it is, after seeing it a dozen+ times I really don't need to them tell me once more that they need a hero. (cue bad 80s music flashback..)

Personally I wish there was an option to skip the entire Millenium City warzone bit and just pop up into either Canada or the Desert at level 5 instantly.

The Dev's have said that making the tutorial skipable is something they'll be adding.

Agreed, perhaps once we have achieved a max level character that should be an option that unlock. By-pass training zone right to Hero welcome and pick where you want to go next.

It's great the first time, okay the second but after that it start to get in the way.

Escape key works on some for me but on others it seems to be blocked. Like Iron Fist getting launched into the space ship.

Although ESC and Space work to skip intro cut scenes, I think having a check off box in the options might be nice. That way you just go right into the zone without having to worry about trying to skip that cut scene (especially good for those with computer issues involving them).

The problem with this.. is that it crashes either in the loading screen at about 95% or it actually zones and stalls at a frame, presumably the first frame before it zooms out and the dialogue begins.

I was just hoping there was some option to opt out of it before zoning.

Thanks for the suggestion though.

Sorry, didn't read all the way through to the last post.

But QFT.. this is exactly what I meant. I just stink at being concise =)

I also have a problem with these scenes crashing my client, and would love to be able to skip them without hitting ESC. I don't even get that option except during the tutorial one. That's the only one that doesn't cause a crash.

Read the thread dude.

The Cutscene is triggering PC crashing for some people, and ESC/SPACE is not working.
