I can't find this anywhere, but was wondering what the difference is between the 4 sorcery frameworks?
Thanks!

Good question, one that I'm not really sure I can answer.
Originally it was one big happy family full of various different Sorcery powers, but the Devs felt taking the tree and splitting it into four trees would make it easier to sort through like Martial Arts. The four category names escape me at the moment, but as far as I can figure there isn't really a "difference" so much as the Devs wanted to break the tree so its easier to see. Kinda wishing picking powers between the four of them was universal but as far as I know it's not anymore :(. I have yet to start my sorcery character since the trees are broken.

For one, they each have different Sigils/Aura's/Circles because you can only have one of each active at one time. For example ebon vs radiant sorcery.
Ebon summons a demon, radiant summons an angel. It's up to you to try and experiment with it :)

So each of the sorcery trees don't count towards the others for getting powers?
What's broken on the trees?

Eldritch Blast (or Bolts, I forget). I don't know 100% what the problem is, but for some reason Eldritch Blast does not count as a sorcery power when looking at the requirements to learn other Sorcery powers. So the Tier 2 powers require you to take at least 3 Sorcery powers or I think 5 from other frameworks, but since Eldritch Blast doesn't count, you don't have 3 powers to unlock Tier 2.

It depends what day of the week you log in as to whether they count as one framework or not.

Well i don't like too this splitting.. the only think i can come up is the hope that the split mean new powers added to them for more thematic.. maybe the screenshow we saw some days ago was a new power for radiant?

Sounds like they're talking about the Radiant sub-framework in Sorcery to me.
Basically the Sorcery framework was split into 4 sub-frameworks for thematic reasons. They are: Arcane, Primal, Ebon, and Radiant. This split is not supposed to affect tiering; all powers are still Sorcery powers. The sub-frameworks also share some powers.
As for the difference between them, it's really in the types of Circles, Auras, and Sigils each has. Ebon tends to focus on a darker theme, summoning demons and undead, and debuffing. Primal focuses on nature themes, like calling lightning and animal summoning. Radiant focuses on healing and protection and summoning celestial pets. Arcane seems more generic in nature; its buffs focus on END regen, its Sigil power is an AoE proximity bomb, and its summon is a magical construct.

And yet, it does. I can't learn an ability at level 5 other than the binding one and my block modifier because stuff like the sigils says I need "1 power from the primal sorcery framework or 2 from any other." And I started with Sorcery as my main framework. Guess I'm not playing sorcery for a while until they fix it : /

The tiering for Sorcery is broken at the moment, which is causing a lot of people headaches. Holding off until it's fixed isn't a bad idea.

Well you have to remember Artifex, even though this split wasn't supposed to "effect" our tiering, requirements for powers is no longer universal, so unlocking the Tiers to use the four sorcery frameworks together has become a much more convoluted process than it once was. :(

Thanks!just a thought...might download the hero builder linked here (http://champions.zarzu.ch/download.html) for a look see at the four types and what under them each.
can't vouch for accuracy or any in game issues, but still gives one a visual aid.
