Ok.. Either I'm not getting something or this needs major work. There's no way of seeing what missions other players have, or choosing a group task that is marked as the 'current' thing to do. I'm having to describe each quest to people, and while I'm a reasonably comfortable typer it's getting annoying.
This (and the emotes) is one of the few areas CoH is wiping the floor with you, as you could easilly see who had what missions, what level they were for, and if you happened to complete someone else's quest which you also happened to have, it would give you the option of 'completing it' too.
Needs fixing please! :D

Agreed, better grouping utilities would be excellent. It's nigh impossible to properly coordinate a team effort. Mostly a team just ends up running around doing their own individual quests, little different than if they were unteamed. :P

I have to agree in this regard with the original poster. While Champions excels in single player ventures, as soon as one joins hands with other individuals. It becomes very hard to keep track of all the quests that are currently active for each player.
If one is to encourage teaming up, perhaps it is best served by somehow allowing the leader to select from party member quests as well when tagging a mission as 'primary'? That way, even if the party members cannot 'share' the quest. Everyone does know what they can do to contribute to finishing it for the member that does need its requirements.

I have to concur with this. One of the most handy features in CoH was to be able to 'select' a mission to do as a team (which would flag the mission location with a map waypoint).
While, hypothetically, one could have one member of the group travel to the mission location and then home in on the map marker indicating that character's location, this creates issues if the group is travelling through dangerous territory and/or or the "scouting" character has to do the same to reach the mission area.

I agree with the OP. The CoH mission system is simple and makes teaming easy & worthwhile. The CO system is just confusing and frustrating.

WOWO, LOTRO, AOC...
IOn all these games besides your missions when teamed, you have a bracketed number stating how many players on team have also that quest...
[2] Meet Socrates
I find that system, combined with COH primary marking is best available...
Sincereley, I don't even team with people who I've lpayed for 4 yuears thanks to the horrible mission system while teamed...
Timed missions can only be done by owner... and none is even marked...
Marking on mpa with another color team members missions would be awesome...
