Starting stats template

Does the starting stats template (i.e. hero etc.) only effect the stats you start with..or does it also effect the stats you get when you level up, or effect anything else later in the game?

I believe that those are just what you start with, but i've seen a slight increase of those stats every level.

But meh, I dunno. :p

They are just the stats you start with. You pick your super stats, which are the ones that grow, at level 5 and 13.
