View Full Version : Don't put away weapons unless you have to

This is one of those small, aesthetic, difficult suggestions, but seeing it implemented would directly increase my enjoyment of one character.
If character is using a right-handed weapon (Ego Blade, Assault Rifle, SMG, Shotgun, Sonic Pistol, Experimental Blaster, Laser Sword, any Single Blade) and is called upon to make a solely left-handed attack (Ego Lash is the only one that comes to mind offhand), please have the character keep the weapon in hand. This is especially important for Ego Lash as it makes it a good visual match of Energy Builder for characters using Munitions, Telekinesis or Single Blade powers who don't like/want their respective Builder.
I've seen this happen via glitch and it looks well. Now if only it worked deliberately...

I'd like the ability to pull out a weapon without using the power. i.e. carrying your gun around in your hands

Agree with both the above comments. Other MMO's have this feature (thinking of WoW specifically). It would be really nice to have it in CO.
While on the subject of weapons (and this probably needs a separate thread)... Why do weapons not dispaly in the tailor window? It's really frsutrating having to pay to change a weapon graphic and not knowing which (from a growing list of weapons) I am choosing.

I think this must not be a suggestion, this must be already done!! how a game that cames out NOW dont got features like this that other old mmos got? with all the visual importance this game got, why exists things like this?
* Dont remove the weapons from hands if dont need. (and also, perhaps, alternate animations for some powers, cast with one hand, instead of two and similar. And yes, I want to mantain my Ego blade while casting the energy builder, other way it looks uggly and sensless)
* I want to unsheathe and sheathe my weapons! even out of combat. This happens in CoX!
* Alternate options for weapons: Yes they are power modifiers but I want to customize my weapons (swords, pistol, Ego Blade like Psylocke...) CoX already can do this, its ok to got "other" options through power modifiers but character creator must have also this option.
PD: Between, i dunno if this happens only to me, but swords (dual swords) are, sometimes, invisible, they are ok while using the power, but dissapear just after they hit.

between, perhaps is too soon but do a list of this kind of improvements in one post or in the cryptic side put the "next idea" to apply to avoid "spam" and diversification can be a good idea.
