Game crashes so hard my PC shuts off

I ran the open beta with no problems. Even during the end of beta lagfest, I did not experience much difficulty in getting decient performance. Now, after beta and the latest patches, the game will crash so hard my PC will actually instantly shut off.

The first time was in the character creater, now I can only go a few minutes playing in the tutorial before it totaly fails.

This will sound hokey, but I scheduled a week of vacation months ago to play this game during launch week. Unless I can get this fixed, it looks like my vacation will be spend cutting the grass or something.

Here is my general specs:
Intel 2.8 GHz Quad core
4 GB RAM
Vista x64
GTX 280 graphics card

Yeah really, I took Monday off for this "head start" which is really worse than Beta. I can't get past Texture2.hoggs not expanding and crashing me to desktop after I click play. I have yet to see a response from Cryptic...

its so annoying lol i want to play but i cant stupid broken play button XD but no my last computer i played this and i got a gpu issue and that computer died now i cant even get to the loading screen

I'm having the same problem also. It's either a couple of minutes of actual in-game time or i crash right when i finish character creation. I also found this in the error file

running ATI radeon 4670hd
4gb of ram
AMD x64 2.60ghz
Vista 32bit
