I've just started a telekinetic (planning on dipping into telepathy and force too) and am at the stage where I'm beginning to think about defensive powers. Anyway, after making Con one of my super stats and looking at Ego Form and PFF, I'm wondering, which should I choose?

I'm sorry no idea but ego form should make the characters head swell 5x it's normal size. >.<

I think Ego Form is the worst offensive passive in the whole game.
I highly reccomend taking Shadow Form instead (at level three it has an 84% damage bonus), and using the advantage on Kinetic Darts if you want to keep Id Blades up all the time as well. In addition to putting up Id Blades, the advantage also gives you a 34% damage buff (something Ego Form does not do).
Since the only useful thing Ego Form does is to keep Id Blades up, and you can do that without Ego Form anyways plus get a damage buff...yeah. :(

Ego form scales its defenses with con. pff does not. The only reason to take con as a superstar really for a TK is for the ego form (unless you get invuln i suppose).
Many people don't like ego form because they believe that shadow form does significantly more damage. This is due to ego form's only damage increase being the enabling of double id blades, which also has very high uptime just from getting the advantage to the TK energy builder. The two don't stack (you can't have double double id blades) so it is common to pick up shadow form for the massive boost to paranormal damage (which affects pretty much all TK attacks, not just melee attacks) and leave the double id blades to your energy builder.
Ego form isn't so much a defensive power though in my opinion. a real defensive passive would be regeneration, invulnerability or personal force shield. Ego form is mostly offensive, but it is generally believed to be outdone by shadow form, a belief i share.
The only problem is if you were to take any slotted passive other than ego form or invulnerability, i'd recommend not taking con as a superstat.

I agree with all of this.
I just went through the passive / superstat bonus debate in my head for the last few days.
Right now I'm working on leveling my ego blades char SS End / Ego with PFF (will take shadow form later for non soloing stuff), and I like it. I'm sorta concerned that I'm not getting a full benefit from Ego unless Dex is high, but right now I'm doing a pretty good job of keeping decent crit. I'm still within respec-striking distance (didn't take PFF till 11) of changing my second superstat and my def passive. If I do, I will go CON / Invuln. Theres something thats appealing to me about taking Con as a superstat, and invuln would get the most benefit.
