Xbox 360 controller: Interacting

I seem to have trouble using the 360 controller. Whenever there's more than one item to interact with near each other, I can't use either of them. Pushing up on the d-pad gives me the option to scroll through them, but pushing up again just scrolls upwards in the list. I've tried hitting every other button while I've got the item I want to interact with selected, and none of them work. Is there something I'm missing here?

I have had the same issue. I'm also having problems navigating some menus, seeing details on items, etc. Is there a bind list for the 360 controller? I've been using mine on a PC running Vista, and it's the first game I've run into problems with.

you have 2 options.
1) Bind a button to the interract button ala /bind select interact (which binds the back button )
2) Select the item you want then press left on the d-pad and rotate it up (a quarter circle from left to top).
