Anyone know if they lowered heat wave's damage and or upped the end cost?
I'm only 14 so far, but it feels really weak compared to the end of open beta.

Not sure on the damage, but they nerfed the heck out of the hold component and the talents.

The hold is a very weak tick compared to what it used to be, so it's more of a damaging power with a -chance- of a hold if they don't -hit you first-.
The special trait you can buy is now some PVP-useless "damage starts smaller than usual but gets bigger eventually" thing.
So, it might be useful if you buy an actual hold, and have enough End to punch them out in quick succession.

Yeah this was a nice (and prettymuch ONLY for fire) hold in beta now it sucks as a hold.

that trait (advantage) has always said and been that.

I never noticed it before, then. I recall using a trait which dropped a lingering DoT instead.

might be thinking of some other power then.
heat wave used to leave a dot effect after the maintain, but it didn't have to do with advantages.

Heat wave is worthless imo after you get Pyre.

heatwave was OP in open beta imo, I still use it now and it is not as good but more balanced that is for sure. Although It would be nice if the hold would always work even if it was a much shorter duration. Say after 3 seconds of channeling you get a 3 second hold, considering it is on a 20 second recharge timer.

The trick to it is that the Hold is far more important than the Damage, so they went and gimped the wrong part of it.

I personally liked the damage, which feels less than before. Esp in pvp it was way better than pyre at one point.
