View Full Version : Community: let's compile a list of costume pieces that aren't universally available!

I know I've stumbled across a few -- pieces that magically disappear when you pick an unrelated costume choice elsewhere, or pieces that are inexplicably available only for one gender.
I'll start out with the two that I remember from open beta, while I wait for the 1st. I'm going to organize by costume slot as I edit and add ones I notice, I think it's best if we all try to do so.
Shoulders
* Rings are only available to Male characters.
Chest Gear
* Tech Harness is not available with a robotic arm, though Tech Harness Lite is.

To be quite honest, I would love to see more of the characteristics available to the male characters become available to the female characters. For example, the ape head (females get an ape face in makeup I think, but no overall ape head).
I believe we don't get the flower for the jacket lapel or the clown nose. (which I personally covet)
And hello..face tentacles! How are us girls supposed to get our cthulu on? :D

Off the top of my head: Males get more hairstyles - especially mohawks. Females get a single mohawk and a faux hawk while males get several options.

On Males, a lot of Side Details are unavailable with Hats & Headgear despite them not clipping with many of them, as well as Eye Detail / Robot Eye and Mouth Detail / Tech Mouthguard.

I don't think females get many of the zombie parts.

Great idea (by the way, you stole my idea)! I'll be looking over all the mouth accessory items I've been missing from females and adding them here. Now is sleeptime, late... zzz...

I want a mighty-pose for female and vixen-pose for male. How else am I supposed to make a stereotypic gay superhero?

Hoods need more mouth accessories. Why is it I can have the "Dragon Mask" but not the regular version without the air filters?
EDIT: Oh and capes! Integrated shoulders and chest wear need cape options.

Capes capes and capes.
Cryptic please let us select capes when using everything in the main catergory for the torso. There is no reason not to allow us to do this. So I want to have a chest layer piece, I can't have a cape at the same time... I mean why not? There attached to completely opposite sides of the body so there isn't any reason for them to clip or anything...:mad::mad:

I second pretty much everything here!
Instead of doing the whole CoX thing, how about being progressive and making pretty much all the options available to all the characters, no matter their gender, for uber-customization?
In fact, let's make that idea a new motto for Champions Online: "Anything CoX does, we can (and WILL) do better!

There's no serpent ( not reptile ) skin texture for female characters even though there's a serpent texture for their torso.

-sheath knife on the belt (not on the thigh) left or right or both, like the gun holster
-ninja masks (nothing really seems like that)
-no hand on a side like some pirates items but modern style
-no hand and forearm looks like a canon (old or modern one), just like a forearm protection but a hole/canon/nothing at the end
-remove a arm (but maybe difficult with the spells animation...)
-monster arms (like robotic one : you choose a side or both arm to be like a monster)
-tentacle arms (same)
-suction cup in place of hands/foot
-suction cup for any part (like spikes)
-sided torso colors : be able to set a difference between front and back (i liked to create a fox guy but can't do the front of the torso with some white and the back full orange)

This is a really obscure one, but I found that for a female character wearing "chest wear" that's any mecha type armor, the "Small ventilator" disappears from the back options...was very strange to find out, especially since I wanted to have that, and it is available to male characters wearing the same thing. I'm stuck with the huge mecha-jetpack if I wanna have some tech back there :\

I'd like the beast female and male poses to be flagged as a secondary option to default into, I like the stance sbut don't wanta run on all fours. :)

Personally, I think the female clothing choices are kind of poor. I want a big, poofy dress. A gothic-styled one. With ruffles.
There are three different skirt-settings - why isn't there a dress option? (;

Missing from Males:
Head -> Bestial -> Side Options -> Fins
Also, Armor Tech Heavy bracers.
Female characters get both of these.

If I recall correctly, there is a "webbed hands" option for female models, but none for males. This seems an odd omission, and I would like it fixed for my amphibious superhero.

This, too.
