Only 1 slotted passive at a time?

Can you have two slotted passive powers active, I took quarry and focus but only 1 seems to show above my powers bar... Is it just ONE active passive or can you have one offensive and 1 defensive active. If someone could explain to me how this system works i would greatly aprciate it.:)

You have one Passive Slot, as Hound_Archon said. So you can only use one at a time. You could pick up more than one and use them in different builds, with different roles, but you'll never have two offensives or an offensive and defensive running together.

I feel I should note you can only have one active passive per build.

Builds give you bonuses depending on the role you are performing in a group; they also limit what kind of passive you can use. Most stick with balanced build and a defensive passive for leveling, but once I got to 20ish or so, I picked up my passive energy form, slotted it into my offensive build, and started killing and doing missions in that build. I still had to switch back to balance to deal with some difficult situations (usually master villian instance missions or pulling too much at once), but it helped to relieve some tedium since I was often dealing 75% or 100% more damage than my balanced build. By level 30 I also picked up a defensive aura to the group for my support build when I fill a healer role.
