View Full Version : Advice/Examples of Electricity and/or Fire PvE builds?

Am trying to make an offensive PvE character using either fire or electricity (or a combo). Any advice or example builds of such a character?
Also, is it foolish to limit oneself to 2 types of powers? I kinda want to in order to at least have some kind of theme going, but am I giving up effectiveness in any way?
Anyways, if anything, I would really really appreciate example builds. Thanks.
Cheers,
- k

I am level 14 on this current incarnation and I will show you how I have been successful.
1 electric bolts
1 chain lightning [Normally @5 I would respec out of chain lighting and take lightning arc instead, but because respecing is currently borked, I am suffering through spending an extra power slot on lightning arc later.]
5 Flight/Fire Flight [travel power based on your flavor]
5 Sparkstorm w/ Electric personality Advantage. [awesome advantage that makes this power a toggle]
8 Lightning Arc
11 Electric Form: the slotted offensive/balanced passive
14 Gigabolt
Jump into the middle of a group of bad guys,m hit sparkstorm - maintain lightning arc. Rinse/Repeat.
Electric Form is really adding the damage to the electric powers, the toggle [Sparkstorm] helps dish out some nice damage, and some nice control through knockbacks.
I have super statted Intelligence, and recovery. This allows Sparkstorm to be up longer, and allows a full charge, with a faster charge time on my gigabolt.
In the future I will add defense, but in the 20s, there is really no reason to worry - with this build Gigaboilt will have death arc, I will also take electric sheath. As for past 20, its game on.. anything is open really, and it should be fun times.

You need something else at lvl 14.
Gigabolt needs 5 electric powers ( non energy) so lvl 17 is fastest you can get.
Electric form uses Endurance to boost damage, Recovery for resistance. If you dont super stat in Endurance, there is no point in taking Electric form.

Thanks for the replies guys. Is Electric form the best offensive passive or are others, like ice form, just as good?

I havent honestly paid attention to all of the details of the other forms, but they all offer other benefits. Check out the tool tips for them. You can check them out as you play in game by opening up the power pane and clicking "all powers"
