So I put "Champions RP" in my little chat bubble area, and I realize it's only the 1st day, but so far I haven't even seen any RP players, where are you all hiding?

Erm, good question.

I RP in all my MMO's, how much depends on the game though.

And if i'm in a Guild\Clan\Group.

I enjoyed RPiing in City of Heroes/Villains, but it was rare I'd RP *while* playing the game (as in, doing missions etc). Usually it was in areas that RPers gathered, like Atlas Park, Galaxy, or Pocket D.

I think it will take some time for an RP community to build up in CO, but I'm sure it will come.

We're not helped any by the no-servers thing. It's not going to be easy to gravitate to towards each other to meet up by chance. We're going to have establish some supergroups for RP, as well as locations/ shard numbers. Even having an RP hotspot like a new Gemini Park is problematic because I can be in MC #102 at the park and you can be there in MC #105 and we won't see each other to RP.

I honestly don't see how 'random RP' is going to happen in CO. That whole 'hang out and chat with people in character' like we used to do at the D is just nothing I see as possible.

Did I miss how to do global chat channels?

Hi i tend to play alot to on rp servers not the biggest roleplayer but like some light roleplaying when the time is their. Hope we can get 1 shard that is named rp so ppl that wanna rp can find it easyer :)

Thanks for the plug, Atomica! .. I didn't know there was a CORP channel, I'll look into that too. And yes, definitely going to start an RP-lite SG once I get enough good people. I'm no RP Nazi, I just think it adds to the flavo(u)r of a game, if you get into character a bit.

I also have a Tarsks_Tavern channel that I've been inviting people into. But look out for @raphaeldisanto in game, feel free to send me a tell and hit me up for details.

For what it's worth, I think having a single server is a great thing as far as connecting with people is concerned, because it means that anyone I see here on the forums is gonna be IG and on the same server as me. For someone who's always played MMOs that have multiple servers, this is a refreshing breath of fresh air. I haven't really gotten used to the feeling of "Oh, that person's interested in RP and I don't even have to ask what server they're on to see if we're on the same one"

Because we all know that RP-focused servers aren't only populated by RPers.... And in fact the most fun RP I ever did in an MMO was in EQ, and I didn't even play on an RP server there (When I started, they didn't have RP servers)

The OP already mentioned it. Myself and a chunk of Rpers are in the channel "Champions RP" odd though the OP had said experience. Every time I have been on, people were talking in it.

Before Champions RP was an OOC channel, however, it is now all IC and the CORP channel is OOC serving as a system to meet up, etc. etc,
