you could contact your bank and have them put a stop-payment on it.

Not if it is a debit card purchase, which it obviously is. Banks cannot stop pay a debit item. If it is already Pre-authorized, Cancelling the card will not stop it either. It would have to be disputed. Good luck with that though, as you hit the agree checkmark when you ordered it.

Yes it is a debit purchase and thanks think im ganna need it :) i have sent a few emails and tickets to them and not one reply even if it is to tell me that i wont be able to cancel but i don't see why they can't just reply to me so they can discuss it with me while the money hasn't been transferred out of my account yet. I don't see the problem with canceling either but i would like to have some confirmation from them, its been 2 days and ofc i know they are probably busy with the head start and other peoples problems but i get the feeling they are just holding of from actually replying to me because they want the money. :(
also i have already canceled my pre order from play.com and i have no intentions of playing the game so this 6 month sub fee will just be a waste of money.

I don't have any intentions of playing the game and now that i have canceled my pre order i wont be able to play full stop anyway because i wont have the product key to enter after the head start ends.

Why did you buy the 6 month subscription then?

Cryptic will likely have zero interest in helping you stop the payment, you will have to tell your bank asap to not allow the money to be withdrawn.
imo.

On the flip side.. I don't know if it means anything - but... If you go to the main Champion's page, scroll down all the way and select "My Account" you should see "Pending Retail".
In my case, it reads "Subscriptions: Champions Online Lifetime PENDING RETAIL.
Perhaps this means that until I enter a retail code it's not yet subscribed? Which in that case, if you don't enter the retail code you won't be charged and the order self-cancels?

No, if you don't enter the retail code, you simply won't be able to log in. You payed for the 6mo, you agreed on the terms, which include non-refundability. There really isn't a way out of it. As others have said, debit purchases can't be stop-payment'ed.

You're stuck with it. That's what happens when you buy a subscription for a game you haven't tried yet. Cryptic isn't likely to refund you and the bank won't stop/reverse the charge since it's legit (you agreed to the terms). I don't get why people are buying subscription before trying the game, than think they deserve a refund because it's not what they expected.

In truth, even if a debit could be stop-paymented, or he had used a credit card and attempt to stop payment... such an action, after you agree to a non-refundable purchase, is considered fraud.

Should not be a problem if you, after the game launch on 1st September, put your sub on ebay or similar (at the same price you bought it), there will be for sure people that are interested in saving on the monthly fee but don't know about this offer. Just wait until the promotion expires.
