Wings flap when people fly. I would like to see some effects for jetpacks when airborn please. That is all, thank you.

I'd like to see JEtpacks as an alternate Emossion Point for the "Jet Boots" travel power, and maybe the "Rocket Jump" travel power, too.

Alternate with the option of both preferably.

I would also like to see some, how shall I put it, more straight-forward jet packs. Most of the ones available are ok, but either too bulky, not well streamlined, or simply to specific of a style to fit w/ a particular theme. I'd also love to see some that have folding/collapsable wings that DO NOT flap, but simply deploy when flying.

Lastly, could we get rid fo the "flailing" while superjumping, please? Not all of my SJ-ers are so uncontrolled while mid-jump.

Thank you Cryptic!

Could you imagine the mindset this takes? Our heroes must be incredibly forgetful.

"Okay I'm gonna jump. This is a lot of fun, I go really high. Here I go... and up I go. Man I can see far. Okay I'm coming to the apex of the jump, where should I land? Okay that building roof looks safe. Now I'm going down... OH GOD OH GOD IM FALLING IM GONNA DIE OH NO AHHHHH -thud- Oh I'm okay...

...

Okay I'm gonna jump again. This is a lot of fun..."

There are issues with the emissions points staying where they should when the character is scaled larger or smaller.

While we're wishing, would it be possible to have shoulders and palms added in as alternate or additional points?

Palm-mounted 'stabilizers' would look nice (Heck the jet-boots flying animation already looks like they're using their palms to stabilize the flight) and shoulders would work with some of the larger 'mecha' shoulder pieces.

I was shocked when I foudn out this was not the case. It seems like a no brainer.

I can only think it has to do w/ the fact that the bottom of a character's feet is a "fixed" location, while they'd have to program in various different arrays of emanation points for different jetpacks, and they vary a lot from character to character.

I wonder if they could simply implement a user-movable emanation point system, and let the user select where to place them. Let's say they gave you 2 movable emanation points. You could drag them from your feet to some point on your backpack or such. Yeah, we may have some people that'd make the jets come from their crotch or butt, but such characters could be handled on a case by case basis. Perhaps there's an issue of quality control - it may not look good across all characters...

Crap. That just killed my idea. lol.

Perfectly legitimate for a robot designer to put a jet exhaust tube in the robot's 'butt' area. Certainly it's silly but it could happen. :D

With the Lifetime helmet that looks like the Rocketeer, I made a semi-rocketeer inspired character. Of course, I included a jetpack. When I went to select a travel power, I chose normal fly. That's the most logical...considering my character's mode of transfer is a JETPACK, rocket boots make no sense. Fire Flight's aesthetic is obviously more magical in nature, and any of the other flights are totally wrong. So normal flight seemed right...except I quickly noticed there was no jetpack animation. My character silently flew around. So I ended up settling on rocket boots. Yeah, it doesn't really make sense, but at least there's some sort of jet-like effect and noise. The silence was deafening.
