So I have noticed my 8600GT running around 95c under a full load so I'm thinking it might burnt up soon. Due to college I'm on limited funds an ran across a HD 4650 for 50 bones. Is this card better then my current one? An has anyone used a 8600GT an noticed these kind of temps? I know its overclocked but man that's hot.

If it were a CPU, maybe. But it's not; it's a GPU. GPUs have very different danger points. My 8800 GTX (1st gen launch series), as example, doesn't have a danger point until around 115c, and if I recall correctly averages around 80c idle.
95c sounds about right / normal for a series 8 under load.

Thanks. That makes me feel a lot better.

It's a bit toasty, but not unreasonable. I think shutdown temp is 110.
