Does Skarn's Bane Cancel Passive Buffs

Energy Forms, Defensive Passives, all that sort of thing. They're all clasified as buffs, and the spell says it removes "buffs" from the target. Will it knock somoene out fo invulnerability, or switch off their Ice Form? If so, how long does it last?

It's supposed to remove energy forms. No idea how that works with passive forms. Presumably they'd be suppressed temporarily, but I haven't tested it.
