So, I noticed that the Sorcery power set got split four ways... This didn't bother me til I noticed that you actually needed powers from each individual set to get more! Some of those sets are IMPOSSIBLE to build a character out of. Besides that, it means that you are basically FORCED to get powers that you don't need or want that don't fit with your idea for your character just so you can get enough power points to get the powers you DO want. In beta it was easy for a sorcery character to get simple abilities... Like a heal. You want a heal now? You need to either pick gimp abilities or wait til you're halfway to 40 to get it. Sure there probably were too many abilities in it before, but now there aren't enough! It's not possible or reasonable to be expected to efficiently build a character that you will ENJOY playing while trying to get some of the abilities that you need to complete their theme.

It's ridiculous that it will take me the same number of powers til I can get my top tier powers no matter if I get "different" sorcery abilities or if I go get fire or might or telekenesis powers. I can kinda get the summoning as being a different set and MAYBE the auras as part of another set... But we don't even get heals as part of a main sorcery build? I don't feel like I have any kind of customization with my current character's powers. There is an almost direct line of powers I "have" to get if I want the powers that actually belong with the theme of my character. Reviving a fallen ally with magic shouldn't be considered just as different as a roundhouse kick ability...

It wouldn't even be so bad if the respec costs weren't so messed up right now... I figured I would just deal with it and take an ice ability since I'm going for a nature themed character. However I've decided I'm just not a big fan of ice wall and now I'm stuck with it! :(

I'm really dissatisfied with what's been done to sorcery, but short of it being changed partly or totally back to how it was before I guess I am wondering one thing. Are we going to be allowed to fully respec once the respec points are fixed? Or should I just stop leveling the character that I was enjoying playing til it's fixed so I can afford to go back far enough to undo the mistake I made because sorcery got cracked. >_<

I DID search before, and it turns I missed the ONE dev post that says it's beign worked on... <<;; oops... Still, my opinion stands! ... <_<;;;

They've stated it's "broken" and wasn't intended to be like that.

Even if you only stay in one "tree" it doesn't work right.
