Ironically, i posted on another thread that the server may be down, or that the person didn't pre-order from gamestop or bestbuy, or that you need to try restarting the launcher a couple times, but...

I pre-ordered from Gamestop. I've had issues from the start about getting my account working because the beta key given wasn't working for what ever reason. Somehow, everything worked out in the end for beta. After contacting support a couple times.

But nowwww.... I don't think it's recognizing my early start access because i get the message:

"No shards found. You have a ticket with 1 permission pairs, but no shards were found".

I've tried restarting several times over the past our, submitted a help ticket, tried calling customer support, but they are closed already until monday I believe. That means I don't get to even participate in why I preordered from gamestop in the first place.

Can I get some love from Cryptic? I've been patient... Supportive... I just want to enjoy the game like everyone else.

When you login to the account page on the website what does it say you have activated?

yes. It actually says I have two accounts activated... It says:

"Activated Features
Download Champions

* Champions Online Preorder - Amazon
* Champions Online Preorder"

The amazon preorder was a temporary fix given to me by a friend while Cryptic figured out what was wrong with my gamestop beta key.

The 2nd preorder was after I confirmed with Cryptic Phone Support that I will have early start access. I was even given a new key.

I don't know why they didn't get rid of the Amazon one.

I tried re-activating both, but no luck. Says they are already activated.

I have this issue as well. No Shards Found.

Same situation, Game Stop has nothing for me till Sept 1, played in BETA, open and closed.

I have an open tech ticket but i am thinking they are busier with actual in game issues and won't be concerned with mine.

In addition, I checked about buying a subscription, and it says

"Changing subscription for:

* Champions Online Preorder - Amazon"

So i think it keeps thinking I'm still under the Amazon Preorder even though Cryptic Phone Support said they resolved the issue...

*sigh* I'm just getting bad luck every step of the way.

I'm going to be busy all next week. Only chance to play is this weekend for a while. I was counting on early access.

I'm not gonna threaten to cancel my pre-order or anything... just really sad. :(

S;illy question. When you activate the key, on the next page (even though it says key activated) have you scrolled down and hit submit? That was my problem. Then again, I can be impatient and foolish on occation.

That's not it. I already tried it. With both codes i was given. The one from gamestop. And the new one Cryptic gave me. no avail.

Same thing happened to me "no shards'. I ended up calling Cryptic. For some reason my key from Gamestop wasnt attaching to my account. The guy at Cryptic was able to manually attach my key to my account and I could instantly log in. Hope this helps.

Oh screw it, I have been sitting on these forums, sending PMs and making tickets since i got home from work 2 and a half hours ago. This is too much work for a game. I will just wait until Sept 1 and play then.

This is a definite strike agains the game though, and they only get 3.

There are people in my guild that were in BETA, didn't get their codes because they ordered from a store and have been playing all day. I just was unlucky. But the shift between open BETA and heeadstart was not communicated well.

I'd really like to believe it's not my fault for the problem, as I've tried what everyone has suggested in previous threads. again... the MMO gods hate me. No fun for Noodles. :confused:

No, you DO have to re-enter your pre-order key BUT after it do not exit out or anything click "decline" on the special subscriptions or pick 1 if you want to purchase. than click submit on the bottom. if you just exit out you will get the no shards problem.. trust me it DOES work.

Trust me when I say it does not work in my situation.

When I first go to the enter key code page, there is just "enter key" and "submit".

I enter the key, hit submit, and am hit with a message that says "code is already active and can not be used again."

There is nothing else i can do. Except try and submit a new code. No other options available.

I know the screen you are telling me to continue on to. I got that screen before when I first entered the open beta last week.

I do not get that screen at all.

Apparently so... even though it was claimed I should've had access to early start simply from pre-ordering from best buy...

I ended up just getting a 6 month subscription since it isn't a bad deal if I plan on playing that long.

AS SOON as i purchased it, i was able to log in and patch my game.

I'm a bit teed off, but whatever. :mad:

I haven't subscribed at all and I can play right now. I pre-ordered from GameStop. Subscriptions shouldn't be factoring in at all. Perhaps they are, but they were never said to.

You have to not just download, but set up a subscription. At this time, only the 6-month and lifetime subscriptions are available.

The requirement of a subscription is not mentioned anywhere in the headstart offers. The only requirement is ordering from the correct vendors; Gamestop or Bestbuy. Since I have ordered from Gamestop, I have met the only requirement.

The apparent problem is that some pre-order keys are not attaching to the accounts. Those of you who purchased subscriptions have obviously had all of their information attached to their CO accounts. With money being involved, you can see how Cryptic might insure that things went well for you. Cryptic has been less secure with those of us who have not shelled out more money. There are many threads on the official forum about this now. People have been able to get this solved without buying a subscription. You just need to be able to get a hold of someone at Cryptic and tell them to do it. During the week, you can call Cryptic's support and solve the problem that way. Of course, its not open on the week-ends. Here's the number:

A dev also said to create a support ticket under billing with "headstart" in the title and explain the problem.

In researching the official forums, since I now have nothing else to do, this is a massive problem. Apparently, a European vendor, D2D, backed out of headstart without telling its customers. So if you ordered from D2D, you got screwed long ago and get to wait until the 1st for general release.

So, the problem is not on the user end. You do not need a subscription in order to play in headstart. However, a subscription does seem to guarantee access. Trying the launcher multiple times will not overcome the problem. You need to contact Crytic and tell them to fix it by attaching headstart to your account.

Just in case anyone was curious...so I don't leave the thread with me saying they did me wrong, hah. I went back to the game stop store and got someone intelligent this time. There are cards there, I got mine finally, and am playing. I still don't understand how some of the people in my guild are playing without one, oh well, good for them.

Sigh. I am having the same issue. I pre-ordered mines from Amazon.com and I logged in today thinking I was qualifed for the early access since I was gone this weekend. When I signed in, It says, "no shards found. You have 1 ticket with 1 permission pairs. But no shards were found."

OMG do i have to create a ticket for this and wait for weeks for an answer...god I don't have time to call customer serivce. Shesh. I guess I will bite the bullet and call them. How annoying! :mad:

WTF you have to have a higher subscription for early access? How annoying :mad: When you try to select your subscription, it only gives you 2 choices which is the lifetime offer or the 6 months plan. SO basically it means you get early access if you have a these subscriptions?
