Will there be different servers to pick from when you first make a character, or will we all be on the same server. I havent seen a server selection in character creation, and my computer cant handle a high population server.

There are no servers - rather 'shards' which are zones split up into groups of instances, the max amount of players for these shards depending on the zone. So this means that basically we're all on the same server, yes.

I am not sure why your computer could not handle a high population server. It is not running the server itself.

The game is all on one server and zones are instanced. So you might have 20 zones of 100 people playing in a single Canadian Wilderness zone.

I realize your computer might have lag issues because it is underpowered, but that really has nothing specifically to do with the population on the server of any particular game, except perhaps that you have a higher chance of having more people in a given area.

You can always try to choose the least populated zones, but they do a pretty good job of keeping them balanced.

So the reality is every zone in this game would be comparable to an average server in another game, from the standpoint that I think it might matter to you.

Thanks, and yeah its prolly just that its underpowered, but I have a nice graphics card or so I thought a (GeForce 9800) but still i have latency cause it cant handle all the pretty, but it answers my questions thanks.

I lived in So Cal twice in my life.

All there ever was when I lived there were fires throughout the summer.

I have seen infinitely more fires in my 6 years living in California than I have in the many years I have lived in Texas.
